im takin marshall beating i falls in the final......marshall has a great penalty kill and a good power play....that is what is going to make the game for them

Marshall has scored more goals on their penalty kill than their power play this season. They have a very good penalty kill, but they havnt been able to find the dominant power play they had the last two or three years.

Marshall won't get tested until the Finals, they will be fresh. I-Falls will battle Hibbing in a tough game, and who ever comes away there will run out of gas against Marshall later in the game. Plus Marshall will be the home team and can match up youso,s line. But one never know's. That's why they play!

im saying that their power play is good because they haven't allowed many if any short handed goals....and they have great defense...i think that marshalls second line could match up with ifalls first line.....i have not seen an ifalls game this year so i am waiting for the finals at the decc...assuming both teams make it

Wont Be Tested untill the Finals??? Lets not Forget that Marshal only Beat Virginia this year by a score of 3-1, that included an Empty Net goal.

That's your opinion, I don't think Virginia would beat Greenway if they had goaltending, and they still might not, Virginia's goalie is'nt that good. Marshall will come to play in the tourny, and only I-Falls or Hibbing could give them a run if they were fresh! Just my opinion, sorry pacman, hats off if your Devils can do it!!

were you at that game?? the whole third period virginia was on a power play....yes virginia is very good but they don't have the skill to keep up with marshall for three whole periods

Well... they did let in two shorty's against Warroad and Madison which lost them the game in OT. Anyway, yes Marshall has one of the best defenses in the state. They roll 7 solid defenders, and have 4 or 5 guys who can shut down major offensive threats (ex Johnson, Stafne, Bohrer). It's hard to beat this team if you only have one line who can score. I Falls has a great first line, and it would be sweet to see these two teams matched up at the decc.

Marshall got the best break in the section with their #1 seed, not having to face HIbbing or IFalls until the Final is supremely beneficial. Falls and HIbbing would play on Saturday and the Final is not until next Wed. The winner will have ample time to recover and fatigue will not be a factor. That semi will be a war, however.
