Hopkins won the most recent meeting by 4, but they tied in the first. Could be close.

Lack of discipline will make Wayzata lose again. As a former trojan (way back in the day) I was embarrassed watching Wayzata play Hopkins last week. Very little offense, NO defense and a need to sit in the penalty box. I've talked to many people associated with this team over the years and never have I heard something good to say about the coach. Coach Davis, at least show some concern when your team takes idiotic penalties one after another.

Anyway,

Not true! =;
It is widely known that he's a pretty fair line-dancer.

Hopkins wins 5-2.

Even if they did win, they would get smoked in the next game by Mtka.

They can get the golf clubs out early and start practicing.

I expect Hopkins to beat Wayzata.

If they meet Minnetonka, I don't think it will be an automatic win for the Skippers. After all, Hopkins beat them once already this year and if they meet again, it will be on neutral ice. We have seen some big upsets in sections in year's past so you can't dismiss them too easily.

Fons is the kind of goalie that can certainly steal a game when he is on. Hopkins has some good young talent as well. I would bet it will be a fun, competitive game if they meet in the next round.

I agree, it's no automatic game.

I've seen both teams play, and it could go either way. I think Tonka is a bit better top to bottom, but Hopkins has very good size and uses it well, especially on the power play. Add in Fons, and it would be a battle.

more than a bit better
hopkins should beat wayzate because of Fons, otherwise it would be real close
also hopkins is tiny. It will be a close game, but only in score. I'd guess shots will be 50-15 I just dont see tonka losing to them again, minnetonka isnt going to be taking them lightly. Only way they lose is if Fons stands on his head the whole game and gets a shutout

I do expect Hopkins to win.

The Hopkins/Mtka game could be very close.

I will clarify, if Wayzata manages to win against Hopkins, I expect them to lose to Mtka.

Sorry for any confusion.

I'd say your shots prediction is a little bold

not any different than the last time they played i believe it was 47-14 and first game fons had over 50 saves (i think) so i dont think its that bold

The only reason I say that is because you don't see too many close games with shots that are 50-15 no matter who the goalie is.

yea the floodgates should open, but fons seems to play well vs minnetonka last game was 3-1 but could of easily been 6-1 or worse with a mediocre goalie

You've already stated your opinion on Hopkins, in this thread and numerous others, now get the hell out of here, we will see you in the next round.

Wayzata's D is horrible ! they are slow, cheap and take allot of penalties. I watched the the game when hopkins beat wayzata pretty bad. Wayzata is the cheapest team i have ever seen play. #4 stuck out his leg on #12 of hopkins and broke his femur.[one of the cheapest plays i have seen in my life] He was a senoir and it ended his carreer. Anyways i hope hopkins sticks it right down there throats.
