Heartbreaker in CP

Post by MNsGreatest#2 »

As we all know CP has turned some heads this year with the best team they have put out since the school opened in 1993. This success is due to the hard work and unity of the 12 seniors this year, which much support from a strong junior class. The last couple of weeks Corey Grandner (Sr. Captain) has been making the decision on whether or not to lace them up when the game time arrived. I noticed this limited icetime for Corey first in the Blaine game. I have just heard today that Corey will not be able to finish out his senior season due to a torn meniscus.

Despite the fact that Corey will not be able to finish his senior season, I'm sure he would rather have his team focus on the up and coming section tourney, rather than feel sorry over this ordeal. As everyone know the player wearing #22 brought a lot to the ice, and really did great work the last three seasons for CP varsity squads, but I think the boys will be able to work their way to the section 5AA final game. Case proven when CP beat Blaine with limited play by Grandner, and almost pulled one out vs. Anoka.

thats a shame.....always too bad for any player or team when a kid has to miss the season (or parts of it)due to injury. Wish Cory the best and CP the best without him
