Mora won 20 games this season, Hermantown started the season 2-4 but ended it 7-1. Regardless of the outcome, should be a good game.

Congratulations to Mora on a solid season but I don't think they will be ready to actually play section paced hockey with a tough Hermantown team.

Gotta tip my hat to what Mora has done this year...but they remind me a lot of Pine City from last year. An absolutely brutal schedule getting them 20 wins...

A 5-seed or lower hasn't moved on to the Semifinals in this section (the old 2A) since 2004. The last three years the 4-seed has out scored the 5 seed 21-4.

I'll take Hermantown. 7-2.

Hermantown will win going away. Mora should be congratulated on a very good season. Especially considering how bad they were last year. But the very soft schedule will haunt them in the playoffs. Mora isn't a hockey town and does not have the coaching to develop strong youth programs. Maybe they will get there someday.

Actually Mora has been in the state tournament before. They made it back to back in 96 and 97.

But congrats on a good season Mora and it sucks you have to face the defending Class A champs in your first section game.

I'll take Hermantown in this one with a 4-1 score.

I think Elliott is the only guy on here that isn't being wowed by a 20 win season. They play NOBODY. They could only muster a TIE with River Lakes who went 1-23-1 in the regular season and barely beat Becker in the play in game for Section 8AA. This game will be a stat padding game for the Hawks.

shots were roughly in the 40 to 20 range
MHF scored on their first shot and never really threatened again

Hawks will definately need to step it up a little or make plans to watch the section championship game
