If Apple Valley shows up to play this should be a great game...however, if they don't show up it could get ugly! Anyone who's watched them play a lot this year knows what I'm talking about.

They need to take space away from Eastview's top line, stay out of the box, and take the body. Eastview has been taking a lot of stupid penalties lately...AV's going to have to take advantage of their PP opportunities to win this one.

Apple Valley WILL show up

Post by Knowlzee »

Apple Valley will show up in this one, because they know it may be their last game. Eastview is flat out a better, more talented team.

I don't think it will happen, but the concern is with Eastview possibly taking AV a little lightly in this one. The last game against AV was pretty easy for them. The score may have been much worse had it not been for some nice saves by the young AV goaltender.

This is a HS tournament hockey game, and anything can happen, especially with two rivals. This one should be a very entertaining quarterfinal game.

Eastview vs. Apple Valley

Post by Hockeyboomer »

Dear Parrish President guy. This is the last year Eastview will be competitive in hockey for at least 5 years. Their Bantam teams are awful (2 wins) The PeeWee teams are below average. On the other hand Apple Valley is loaded at the Bantam and Peewee levels. They will be in State in 3 years. (P.S.- Rosemount is done after this season too)

Tonight 4-3 Eastview on talent. Apple Valley has more heart. But first EV line to too much.

Apple Valley has more heart
No offense, but that might be the most untrue statement ever

Both teams will play with hear tonight no doubt. I'm hoping it's a packed house for this one. RFFalcon22, I agree with what you said earlier.

The one thing I wonder will Krob start because he is a Senior? I know it's not something that should happen but some coaches don't always think that way, maybe they are looking for Senior leadership in this one, who knows I'm just excited to watch some hockey tonight seems like its been awhile since I've seen a game.

Eastview Apple Valley

Post by Hockeyboomer »

Mike Gibbons coached teams relied only on the individual player. They never passed the puck with the exception maybe of the state tourney team of a few years ago. Last year they were very good and got outworked and outhustled in the first section game by a young Rosemount team. This year is a little different, but if you want to watch passing and team play, don't go to the game tonight. Gibbons leaving was the best thing that could happen to Eastview. Now if they could only steal the Burnsville coach they would have their guy.

Stev16, prove me wrong. Let's hope and see if eastview plays with heart. I'm not talking about the studs, I'm talking about the 3rd line the 3rd 4th and 5th defenseman who are pretty average. The most under-rated guy on the team is Joe Peters, he is flat out solid! I personally am hoping for a Eastview vs. Rosemount or Cretin final. I would love to see them crush a private school. First things first Tonight!

I agree with you that Eastviews 3rd 4th and 5th D are pretty average That must make Joe peters pretty average than. Fienaghe and Gorski are 1st and 2nd D and are way better than him....
