Things go pretty much as predicted in the first round. Andover, Flake, and Elk River gave the higher seeds decent competition but ultimately succumbed to the better team, while East rolled.
Semifinals:
Cloquet @Duluth East 10 AM
Rapids @ Anoka 12 noon (allegedly...it'll be later than that)
Tickets will be sold at the DECC from noon-5 PM on Friday, if you don't want to wait in line early in the morning.

Comments on the East-St. Francis game, since it doesn't have its own thread:
The first period was very frustrating, as the Greyhounds threw 23 shots on net but didn't score until there was a minute left in the period. After that the floodgates opened and East rolled the way they were expected to. They matched Benilde's 66 shots on St. Francis from earlier in the year.
It was a solid night for the northern contingent of 7AA in general. I would have been disappointed if we had to deal with two cities teams in the semis. I can't wait to see the huge fan bases that show up on Saturday, as the towns of Grand Rapids and Cloquet relocate themselves to the DECC and East brings its normal huge contingent (the student section was impressively packed for the St. Francis game today, though pretty quiet). It'll be interesting to see what Anoka brings.
