CNF was right about the Parody.
You are right.

It should make for a lot of fun at districts, regions and state.

CNF, thanks for doing this.

All of us disagree for the most part, but all of us have our bias. Your rankings are as good if not better thatn all the others.

Us 'bored' guys (& gals, I think) enjoy your rankings.

I agree with elliot when he said moorhead, GR, and Bemidji should be ranked higher up there.
I think these teams are the best in the north(not including duluth area). GR has split with Bemidji and lost to Moorhead in shootouts both times. These will be really good games to watch if they see each other, and Moorhead and Bemidji probably will cause they are in the same region and VFW district.

Well gr mighta lost to i falls but they played EP to a 4-2 game earlier in the season and the words from the EP's coach were "the best team we've played all year." that i think deserves them a higher spot.

I think the score was 5-3, and Grand Rapids looked good, but I don't think they were the best team they played. Now if you would have said one of the best, I would agree.

Bantam A

Post by Doglover »

EP lost to several teams during the season. They lost a district game to Edina 2-0, tied Minnetonka in regular district play and they lost a handful more in tournaments/scrimmages. They are very well coached though. Watch out for their power play! I think Bantam A could be won by any of the teams. Also think Chuck's been a bit off in the rankings this year - maybe his info sources are not quite as reliable as last year. Appreciate the effort though.

Okay folks, the final 8 are in, some very good games around the state this weekend, as suspected nobody touched Number 1 EP, looks like they are three games away from the repeat. I guess My final comment is look who made it in. No matter what MN hockey does the best teams make it in. Is this the best 8 in the state? you know at first i was going to say no, but how can i argue against the teams like WBL, Roseau, Moorhead and Centennial who have been getting blasted on here all year yet they go to the show, that is not a mistake the cream rises to the top.
Well the playoffs are finalized here is the best of what is left. Remember there are good teams who did not make it out of their districts.

These are my last rankings, lets see how I did.

Red are the teams that made it to state
Green Lost the play in game.

1. EP
2. Wayzata
3. Burnsville
4. St. Cloud
5. Centennial
6. Edina
7. Moorhead
8. Bemidji
9. East
10. White Bear
11. Rochester
12. Maple Grove
13. Stillwater
14. Grand Rapids
15. Hermantown
16. Roseville
17. Roseau
18. Duluth Lakers
19. Eagan
20. Hibbing

Now for the ranking the state...
1. EP
2. Wayzata
3. Edina
4. Centennial
5. East
6. WBL
7. Moorhead
8. Roseau

Unfortunately MN hockey does not seed the teams, so we won't have a 1,2 final, however a great tourney shaping up.

Chuck awesome job this year, but why does every one say wayzata is by far the second best team.
White Bear Lake beat them at their own rink for cryin out loud.
Plus, some of their players are out with injuries, including 2 broken collar bones I think.
Rochester beat them in regions and they barely even made it to state.
Please stop favoring all the cake-eater teams like everyone alway does every single year!

Well, because even when they loose three guys to injury they still make it to the tourney, and they still have a shot to win. Unfortunately the "cake easter teams" as you put it, are the good teams, Moorhead and Roseau are probably the only teams not in that category, and they have no shot. No matter what anyone else says East, Centennial, WBL, EP, Wayzata, and Last but not least Edina...they are all "cake eaters" They are the top end get everything you want programs. "Cake eaters" is not just saved for Edina anymore.

Ok, this is a serious question, not just taunting anyone, but who have they played this year? Haven't seen them at any of the big tourney's. Have they played anyone that tested them? I'm sure they are good, I just haven't seen them, can anyone give a run down?
