Best game 2/23

Post by DCwildcats »

So many to choose from - what game will be the best?

1. Burnsville - Jefferson
2. Eastview - Woodbury
3. Both the 7AA games @ the DECC
4. Albert Lea - Mankato West
5. Holy Angels - Edina

WOW! I'm sure there are others that you are pumped to watch!

The tougher question - I'll be in the Cities Saturday, and I wish I could be two places at once! I'm thinking the Coliseum might be the best, mostly because it will be 2 games for the price of 1. (I'm cheap)

Why aren't the games at BIG and Braemar doubleheaders - I'm guessing you would have to re-enter for the second game at both arenas with the start times being 4 hours apart.

My biased vote will go for the 7AA semis, which will include arguably the state's greatest rivalry in East-Cloquet and then a very exciting cities vs. north matchup of Rapids and Anoka. The DECC will be absolutely crazy.

Looks like great games all over the place. I,however, will be at the DECC for the 7AA semis.

Centennial vs. Irondale at the Champlin Ice Forum. Should be a nailbiter.

Given a choice I'd say the best game of the day will be Roseville/Johnson. Following that...

I'd say it's probably AHA/Edina. I might try and get to that one as well. This is the time of year when the Stars typically fold like one PB's suits, but this year the pressure is off. Nobody expects anything from them, so maybe it's an opportunity to catch somebody off guard. They've still got talent.

East-Cloquet is at 10 AM, Rapids-Anoka at noon (though it will probably start later than that).

They had to move the times up to accomodate the UMD women in the afternoon and the men at night. Quite the day of hockey at the DECC.

Wow...a lot of games there Karl...that ice will be so chewed up for UMD unless they have the time to shave it down and apply a few coats of water...not that the UMD women will do much damage to it I guess..

East-CEC
Anoka-Rapids

2 great games with one being one of the greatest rivalries in the state.

Hermantown @ St. Cloud Cathedral - 2pm @ Cloquet (CARC)
Denfeld @ Sauk Rapids - 6pm @ CARC

That 2pm game should be awesome.

8AA Semi-Final

Brainerd vs. Moorhead at TRF.

Teams played twice in the regular season. A 3-3 Tie, and a 2-1 Moorhead Win. Very evenly matched teams, should be a great game.

Thats another one you could add to your list. There will be plenty of good games to watch tomorrow. I hope everybody can get out to watch at least one of them! Good luck to all teams(Besides Moorhead)!
When Hell freezes over, I'll play hockey there too
