Breck ove Austin
Breck 6-1
Austin will find out what it is like to play a real big city team. I have seen both play and it will be no match. This will tell if TJ is the real deal. I hope she does well.

Austin played the Big City team Breck last year. Maybe you were busy???? Austin plays the Big City teams from Rochester every year....Rochester is now the third largest city in the state...and growing bigger every day.... I could care less if they lose by 50-0. Austin girls have class and heart and that's all that matters. TJ is the real deal..always has been. BUT it takes team to win....blindman wrote:Breck 6-1

I meant to pick a final not a period score. Ouch, lets hope they can come back and make it a game.

It's really too bad Class A does't have 8 STRONG teams down at the X...
Breck took no shots in the 3rd period after they built their 12-1 lead in the 2nd - pretty classy not to run the score up any more.

Thank you Southland....Breck has the best team money can buy in the Twin Cities..TRUE???? They should move to AA to show how good money can buy a championship at that level, too.Southland_rebels wrote:8 quality teams. thats pretty harsh. i know the girls on this team they played there hearts out. eight teams from the state made it... the best eight thats why its called state ya prick..

Sorry but Austin is not one of the best eight teams in the state. They were the best from their section.Southland_rebels wrote:8 quality teams. thats pretty harsh. i know the girls on this team they played there hearts out. eight teams from the state made it... the best eight thats why its called state ya prick..

They do the best with what they have...sorry that you find a need to put them down. They have overcome tremendous obstacles that you have no idea about. If heart counts they are indeed one of the top eight.State Champ 97 wrote:Sorry but Austin is not one of the best eight teams in the state. Not everyone at Breck has tons of money! If money bought championships, then Breck would have won every year! Hard work, effort, and skill is the key to championships.RockHard wrote:Thank you Southland....Breck has the best team money can buy in the Twin Cities..TRUE???? Recruiting is against the rules! And besides... public schools can ALSO recruit.Southland_rebels wrote:there playing for third tommorow thats pretty bad. i believe breck is a private school.. wait a minute.. cant they recruit.. austin plays tough every game so what if they lost. i cant believe someone would say a team playin for third isn't one of the best
You don’t have to have money to go to Breck, That is why they have Anonymous donors to help you.hocktang wrote:Not everyone at Breck has tons of money! It still doesn't mean it buys championships.hockeya1a wrote:You don’t have to have money to go to Breck, That is why they have Anonymous donors to help you.hocktang wrote:Not everyone at Breck has tons of money! It's semi-final games like this that hurt the legitamacy of the girls state (particularly 1a) tournament. These are NOT the best 8 teams in the state. Each team in this tournament took, essentially, a different route to get to the X. Take a look a the scores in 2A. Pretty evenly matched. Take a look at 1A, there were certainly lopsided games. Sections will not be realligned, a third class will not be added, and TV will not cover opening round games as long as this continues. Good luck Alex!
The way the road to the State tourney is set up it virtually GUARANTEES that you won't see the best 8 teams in either division. It's common in other sports at the High School level too. For example, golf. In 2006 the 5 out of the top 10 teams in the year end poll were in section 8AA. Only one team goes to state. There were teams from other sections at state that only had 1 player break 100. That's the system and it won't change.winnings not 4 everyone wrote:It's semi-final games like this that hurt the legitamacy of the girls state (particularly 1a) tournament.
