Didn't he leave a bunch of friends at Woodbury when he left there?
As for Villneauve and DeSmidt, neither are playing JGA. Villneauve transferred to Centennial two weeks ago I believe on Monday...realized that the transfer rule would be in effect for him...and transferred back to White Bear to make the school day on Friday. I THINK THAT MAY BE A RECORD FOR QUICKEST TRANSFER.... O-TOWN OR EAST, CAN WE GET A RULING PLEASE?
From what I hear, Villneauve plans to try-out for the Green Bay Gamblers when the time comes around...

Re: Where the talent has gone.
Good call. His son decided to go play for his team last year and miss out on his senior year at WB when all the team needed last year was solid goaltending. He was a very good goalie and i still wonder what last year would have been like if he stayed around. Hanson's decision to leave was made easier with one of his best friends growing up playing in Sioux Falls and his dad coaching the team. Kevin Hartzell is getting those kids ready for the next level but he has taken some key talent from WB over the past few years.Nogoalov wrote:Ask Kevin Hartzell where all of the talent is.

Do you really think that Sager would have taken Hartzell back for his senior season even if he had never left after his off-ice antics with Hansen two years ago?whitebearsuperfanB wrote:Good call. I doubt that he would have.

Re: Where the talent has gone.
He was already back for his junior year and started a few games that year. The only reason he didn't get the playing time he deserved was because Faust was starting and he had been the starting goalie sense he was a sophomore.wbmd wrote:Do you really think that Sager would have taken Hartzell back for his senior season even if he had never left after his off-ice antics with Hansen two years ago?whitebearsuperfanB wrote:Good call. Perhaps, but that was a long time ago. I don't see your point in making a point to say that..Pucknutz69 wrote:sicknasty7722 wrote:When Collette enrolled at HM, he told all of his friends and such that he had EVERY intention of transferring back to WB for his sophomore year. And then Hartzell quit and I don't think Sager would have wanted a quitter back on the team.whitebearsuperfanB wrote:He was already back for his junior year and started a few games that year. Don't act like the band wagon didn't stop by. Owen went to Hill to play hockey when he saw the writing on the wall he went back to WBL. They left Woodbury cause they thought they were no good and Owen wasn't going to get the attention like he would at WBL.
Really? So do you know the Collette family? Because only someone who knew them personally would know if they left because of those reasons. I'm just wondering, because it's something anyone would say about a kid who left a weaker hockey town and headed to more of a "powerhouse" town. It's as if no one can ever make that move without people assuming it was for better hockey.Pucknutz69 wrote:CFM™ wrote:Perhaps, but that was a long time ago. I'm not disregarding the fact that he left either of these places. I just don't see the big deal in it, seeing as he never played or tried out for either of these teams. And plus, who cares if they moved to play for a stronger hockey program. Wouldn't you want the best shot at getting exposure and playing time? Sounds like a waste time to let talent like Collette's just sit on the bench. I'm just glad he settled on White BearPucknutz69 wrote:CFM™ wrote:Perhaps, but that was a long time ago. Kind of like Faust used to do.SEC Scotty wrote:I have never really understood all the hype about Collette. He seems to be technically sound with his angles and all, but he lets in a lot of soft goals and doesn't seem to come up with the big save when needed. He was a big reason the Bears lost the game to Park.
Who cares where Villneauve is and where he is going.... His short lived transfer to Centennial is proof that he thinks he is way better than he actually ever was...He has Hansen to thank for making him look good last year. Was the transfer rule not made public enough for him to realize he wasnt going to be able to play, or does he think the rules dont apply to him?sicknasty7722 wrote:
