Dazed,
You are arguing with a person who needs to visit the Wizard & get some courage. BIAFP is afraid to stand behind a particular team/program & thus make him/herself open to criticism. He would rather just sit back & fire shots. Says a lot about her...him...whatever. Please make an appointment with the man behind the curtain then come back!

Hey, Whatever it is its from the Centenial area. They where smart and got out of hills section so as not to taint there great winning tradition up there. Good thing all the great hockey minds live up there.

Depending on who you talk to North's forth goal shouldn't have counted. I wasn't at the game but as I understand it Hill scored with a little over a minute left to go up 4-3. After the faceoff North quickly got the puck into the offensive zone. The net was knocked off it moorings, by Phillipi, but the puck went in and was counted as a goal.

Not that it would have been H-M's year, but there were some very controversial calls in the game. The 4th goal he is referring to was the tying goal for North St. Paul late in the third in which the net was clearly off (at least a foot) before the puck even came close to entering the net. The refs however called it a goal as the game headed to overtime.

That's true. And the Polar hockey team has not been the same since. It may take a while for them to be that good again. With Rubbelke coming, hopefully there will be more scoring but I wonder about goaltending situation with Tom Horner graduating in spring. He was a good goalie but didn't have a lot of help.

I didn't see him play, but from what I've been told, Joe's probably a better QB than anything. Like I've said before, his dad is probably the best baseball coach I ever had, so I don't doubt that Joe's extremely talented there as well.
I think Joe seems to lack a little bit of aggressiveness on the ice. His speed isn't the greatest I've seen, his stickhandling is among the best, but he seldom takes it upon himself to "take over"... he had a lot of opportunity to do it this season, and he didn't. He's too much of a nice guy I guess. That's something I think he'd need to work on.

From what I remember, he was one of the top passers in the metro area last fall.Govs93 wrote:I didn't see him play, but from what I've been told, Joe's probably a better QB than anything.
