Maybe Hill should schedule teams like Minnetonka, Benilde, Holy Angels, East, or Moorhead. Would that make people happy? Would that get them better prepared if they are fortunate enough to get to state? Oh wait, hill played those teams this year....umm, never mind.

They are part of our annual schedule that most consider "peewee" level. Two very solid programs, but apparently do nothing to help Hill.

There's still the Park fiasco...

Hill should go independant in hockey scheduling. They are a very desirable team to play if they could open up some dates. Maybe a half conference schedule?

The same Park that beat WB? :D

We've discussed this situation in a different thread. They will remain loyal to their conference...just like St. Thomas.

like scoring...

winning...

playing on TV...

going to state...

graduating top student athletes...

having fun...

making the bored envious....

Your 5 words above sum up the Hill-Murray hockey experience;

you need not say more,

except...

What is your squad's ranking?

What is your squad's all-time record versus the Pioneers?

How many times have you gone to State since 1975?

For sake of the Bored!

Holy Angels

14, They had a down year, recruiting was slow.

6-0-1 Your squad has NEVER beaten them.

5 but they have just as many state titles in less than a quarter of the appearances.

I will give you this though Pistol. It did take some digging just to find that one.

I graduated from Hill not too far back (ok it coming up on eight years, but who's counting?), and I have nothing but disdain and loathing for the Pioneers hockey program. I have not been on this bored long, in fact this is my inagural post, but no one mentions how blantently they recruit. Of course you can have this great hockey dynasty (this cannot be denied), if you are sniping a goalie from this school and your entire second line from another (this being back in 99-00). If this is deemed to be an acceptable practice, then fine, but then don't claim that you are all on a level playing field. A.B.H.M. (anybody but hill murray). :P

Clearly an unbiased, thoughtful and fair opinion. You could work for Fox News...

Easy to pick out the frauds!

Nobody would recruit you.

When were you cut?

Who said anything about being unbiased? I'm just saying it seems a ridiculous to brag year in and year out when clearly things are not what they seem. If it was just common knowledge that players were recruited it wouldn't be as bad. Just lay it out like any pro team would when they sign a player (for example: Junior Forward X signed from Mounds View, will recieve two years free tuition). Full disclosure, that's all. :D
