Ahhhh but HF is so young and innocent yet. They haven't developed the private's level of ego yet (see post above) But I understand where you are coming from.

Holy Family is only "half-private", since it is a joint hockey program with Waconia, a public school. Therefore, they should receive half your support!!! Just root for the Waconia kids, on the HF squad. :D

great point - not completely "private" in-breeding and Waconia players have been big contributors too. I just don't know any of them.

Actually, the Waconia group makes up more than half the squad. When the split happens, next year, HF will suffer more than Waconia. Regardless, they'll both take a tremendous hit. #-o I don't see either team rising from the ashes for 3-4 years. This is it, for a chance at glory, for some time.

4-3 Blake pullsout a nail bitter. I must admit Holy Family was a pleasent suprise. I wrote a novel on the game in the Updates thread... here ill copy and paste it.

Second off at 8 o clock (1)Blake took on (4)Holy Family. I went into this game figuring that since Breck smashed MWT, then Blake would run up the score on HF. Wrong. Despite a poor performance by the HF goalie in the first, the Fire controlled the game. At the end of one it was 3-1 Bears. In the second HF made a nice comeback with two very fluid goals to make it tied at 3's going into the second. Blake scored one late, about 3 minutes left. A Blake penalty at 15:07 put the Fire on a 5-4 soon to be 6-4. HF battled to the last second, and that big #10 for HF (who, by the way, can absolutley rock some kids and has an absolute laser) saved an EN goal to keep it close, doing so he knocked the net off. The faceoff was in the HF zone with 7 seconds left. This ended the game and Blake pulled it off 4-3.

The thing that makes this section final interesting is that the first time around Breck won 5-1. Second time Blake won 6-1. Seeing as Breck beat MWT that bad, and Blake snuck by, what can we predict for the final of the championship?

Blake - 4
Holy Family - 3

Birkholt assist on winner w/about 3 min left in 3rd - didn't catch the scorer.

Breck should tromp Blake on Thursday!

Yes, by that celebration for the fourth goal one would think Birkholt scored. He went straight for the student section with the other four following. Not sure on the goal either, it was a bit of a scrum. Two very nice goals for Holy Family though.
