Cadets in running time.

edit: STA won 5-0 at home and 6-1 on the road in the regular season. I think they'll be alright.

I have STA winning this one. However, SSP is a good team and frankly scare me a little. It should be a good game. I don't see a running time game. I say 5-2 in a game that is closer than the score will indicate.

S. So. Paul

The Packers don't have the raw skill that St. Thomas has, but they know how to play the game, and that means they play the body.

I think the Packers are going to upset here.

playing the body is useless if you can't catch the other team...

STA 6-2

STA has handled SSP pretty well this year. Even though SSP finished strong in the conference and tied HM I don't think they will be able to hold back STA's fast scoring offense. Might be closer if Christian Isaacson does not play. One of the best sophomores in the state this year been out with the flu. I think it will be close through the first 2 periods then STA seperates in the third. And Walters needs to stay out of the box. Top player on the team has too much confidence and chirps too much. SSP could get in his head and take him out of the game.

ssp

i think everyone besides the sta fans would want ssp to win.
even though sta beat ssp 2 times i think it will be close going either way. its the section final, games are always close.
ssp has got the tradition, i think people would want to see that at state, i definately like the old school here.

I want SSP but I think we are all going to have to face the reality and stop picking with our hearts. This will probably be the most lopsided of the 16 section championship games. STA 7 SSP 1

The vote is way closer than I thought it would be. So far it's 17-16 in favor of STA.

Adam Wilcox has two shutouts in sections. Could the freshman pull this off again? He sure makes it look easy to play goalie.

Whatever the case. If they were a AA school. I don't think they would be hated as much. By the way, they don't have a strong following. When they played Totino yesterday. Their side of Aldrich was vacant. Apparently the parents and family of most the kids didnt' want to make the trip from Prior Lake and Lakeville. They will have to get hotels for State to save on gas.

No one went to the game because STA was playing Sibley in basketball and it was STA History Day for Juniors and Seniors. Their following is pretty solid.

STA because this is a nice group of recruits this year. Wait that is every year. I predict they will win the Championship this year and then move up to AA. The state tournament from hell is in our near future: STA over Duluth Marshall in Class A and Benilde over Hill Murray in AA. Puke ](*,)

That would be the state championship from hell. I hope SSP can keep it close and somehow find a way to win

jeez, you guys need to relax. if the bests in both A and AA are private, so be it. btw, is it a guarantee (assuming that STA beats SSP) STA and DM (DM beat Hibbing tonight) will be on opposite sides of the bracket meaning they can only play each other in the championship?

as an sta fan i gotta admit that ssp is kinda giving me the chills. i dont know what it is, but i just have a bad feeling about this one. ssp is getting hot at the right time and that win over the zephs was very impressive. ill take sta 4-2.

so you guys would rather watch a less talented team in the state tournament like SSP get rocked over a team like STA just because they are public? dumbest thing i have ever heard.
