The East Regional has a lot of good teams so there is a good chance there will be an upset there and either or both Blake and Way Blue will not make it out. They are probably the the 2 best teams in the state but you have to play the games. They are 3-2-1 against each other with Wayzata having the OT edge at Districts. I think the other predictions so far are good. This should be really fun for the kids!!!

SWPrez, should be a good weekend in albert lea. And do you think you got the easier bracket or do you think we did? and does anybody know Luverne's record for regular season? Havent heard of those mates. Hopefully they gave a scare for the big teams. It's always great seeing little teams give big assocaitions a nail bitting game. Good luck to all teams in regions.

Final 8

In the East, you can hardly rule out anyone without the asterick....
The Bears will compete, as always...
In the south, Tonka and EP also have very good chances to advance.

It will come down to goaltending, backchecking, and fewest mistakes.

Yes my East team was in that region last year and should have gotten out last year but we choked.. but thats irrelevant. I am glad i am not in that region as its the hardest by far.

My Picks:

DE Black
Sauk Rapids
Wayzata Blue
Blake
Moorhead
Bemidhi
EP Red
Burnsville

Moose Lake is good but when they run into the deep cities teams they will ware out with such a short bench.

Wild thing you said it.

Goaltending will be the key this weekend. You can win a game 1-0 but you can't win 2-4

Allways a + on P.K.

i agree very much with shorty and wild a goaltender can be the whole team sometimes in the play offs. sure there has to be the one guy that scores to but if u find a hot goaltender your team could be in deep trouble. and as for the teams with a hot goaltender you have a very good chance at advances or making a good run at advancing
