School Policies on Tourney tickets

Post by TooManyEagles »

Post if you know any policies on how schools will sell their tickets. (Teams who are going to state, in Section finals only please)

I hear from Edina that they sell theirs during lunch, and will possibly ID you to make sure you go to the school. No clue on Final day tickets.

A - they're available to every one
AA - they're alloted based on enrollment, I don't know the exact formula but Anoka would be allotted more than Roseau. Tickets held are held based on the biggest school in the section then down graded and opened up to the public at the X box office based on that.

Last year Century alloted their tickets to faculty, parents, student season ticket holders, adult season ticket holders, students, and adults in the community in that order (or something very close to that). I think most do it that way. After the quarterfinals, ticket holders to the quarterfinals, regardless of who you are, have priority over those that didn't. Century was allotted less tickets for the 3rd place game than they were for the semifinals as that's one session.

This is what our school did last year (1000 students in AA). Every student and adult that wanted a ticket had to put their name in a lottery for each game. I believe there are different sections for students and adults. They ran out of tickets.
