k, i read it again. you still sound like a little baby who's jealous of someone else's success.
I like how you little baby BSquaders define success.

Good luck against Sleepy Eye and New Ulm. Pathetic.
What's kind of pathetic is the sad performance CDH has had against BSquaders this year.

my point is this: all of sudden, when STA has success, everyone starts whining about how they should be in AA, and i don't think this sentiment can be disputed. this argument is dumb as it always is. gl to all the teams.
Deacon Jones,

While I hate to do it, I have to agree with Packer on this. It's not the record, or even the success that singles STA out, its simply the size of the male population at the school. The boys should be playing in whatever class a 1200 person school plays in. The girls @ STA can play in whatever class they want. Oh....that's right, they don't have any girls! That must make Prom interesting.

Perfect. A Brecky BSquader dissing the 2006 AA champs.

When you opt up and win titles in all the major sports let us know Bboy.

Until then, good luck against Farmtown and Frostbite Falls.

There JV team was decent this season. Nothing special. They will still compete for a conference title in 2008-2009.

Not dissing the 2006 champs. I saw the 2006 champs and this years squad are far from champions. They lost to virtually every Class A team they came across. Funny thing is...if they had opted to play Class A, THEY STILL WOULDN'T HAVE MADE THE TOURNEY!!! Ouch

DubCHAGuy, I'm not saying I believe this, but I could easily see an argument for St Thomas being the #1 team in state if they win (and some other crazy stuff happens).

Look at St Thomas' losses.
-Breck was early in the season.
-Marshall was a good game for them and a bad game for STA's goalie. One game doesn't make a season. Plus, they only played once, many teams get crushed the first time and come back the 2nd time.
-Tonka was a close one and away.
-Hill they took into OT the 2nd time.
-Not a loss, but they handled BSM. Aside from the first period that BSM looked good in, it was like watching a varsity squad play a JV squad.

That being said, if St Thomas wins state, beating Marshall in the process, and Hill and Roseau don't win with Hill losing to Benilde at state, who's to say St Thomas isn't the best team? A team they manhandled beat Tonka tonight.

I'm not saying they are, I personally think they are a top 8 team and that aside from Roseau beating Edina and going undefeated, we don't play enough games to see who is truly the best.

Aside from Benilde and Blaine (who has also lost to 7 other teams this year), who have they beat that would make anyone think they are #1? Unless someone goes undefeated and wins the AA title, any team can do the "we beat team A who beat team B" and make themselves believe they are the #1 team.

You are right, which is the exact point I was making. You don't have to be in AA. You can be in A, or any of many classes in other sports. Unless Roseau wins state, in my opinion there are about 10 teams who playing ten games with any of those other 10 would win no fewer than 3 games. Our playoff system only has you playing one game. What does that prove? Nothing. Roseau may be the best. We'll find out. If they are not, then there are quite a few top teams.

Yes, Benilde is their only "quality" win, I can't argue that. But they didn't play any middle teams. They played bottom teams and top teams. And yes they lost, but they were in all the games they lost, just couldn't score against Marshall.

No, only if you are at STA.

At STA, you can play in a section where the best teams are Mahtomedi and SSP and them compare yourselves with teams competing in AA sections like BSM and HM

At STA , you can play some teams in December and then talk like you could beat them in March while playing against Red Wing and Le Cresent.

You can do that at STA.

Any other place, people would feel like fools talking like that.
