I don't see the Irish being held to just 1 goal in this game. Burnsville did it to 'em, but with phenomenal goaltending. 4-3 or 4-2 in favor of Rosemount.

The Irish will have their day. But, it won't be until March 17th when their season will be long over.
Shows what you know. St. Paddy's Day is on the 15th this year.

The pope declared that there would be no celebration of St. Patty's day during holy week, and you wouldn't want to say no to him. That's why they made the celebration to be on Saturday the 15th.

Keys to the game

Woodbury
1. Strong goaltending from Wigend
2. Keep the game low scoring
3. Make sure David Eddy gets involved
Woodbury is deeper than Rosemount and they'll be able to keep the Irish off balance

Rosemount
1. Make the game high scoring
2. Use their speed
3. 1st line needs to be productive
Rosemount is the more physical team and Woodbury is an easy team to frustrate. They'll get inside Woodbur'ys heads and cause them to take penalties. Then Rosemount will be able to use their deadly pp line.

Saw a lot of Woodhood this year and know that they are certianly capable. Solid team play and quality goal tending make them tough to beat. Looking forward to seeing this JT guy and his squad. I hope it can live up to a few of the other sectional games we have been treated to this year.

See ya after the game for the recap.

What an embarrassment for Rosemount 8-2. Running time in a sectional final is PATHETIC!

I'm not sure how anyone could doubt woodbury going into the tourny...they are on a 9 game winning streak and have outscored opponents 23-5 so far in the playoffs...solid work boys.

Teams like Edina, Roseau, and BSM make me doubt Woodbury.

It appeared that late in the 3rd a Rosemount kid took a cheap shot on Hyland in a corner. Any details?
