STATE WARS May 22-26

4-on-4; max 12 roster teams. Two first-come teams sign up representing their STATE? Three divisions for girls/women: 13 and under girls, 14 and older(!) womens, and 35 and older?

Hmmm.. so basically only the first two takers at a given division are allowed to "represent" their state? And they expect a number of other "state" teams to travel to this to make each division viable? And 14 and older? Wow, true open division women's hockey there.

FAQ

Looks like it has been in place for roller hockey in Illinois and 08 is the first shot on the ice. Slick marketing, but call me skeptical that this will work.

Gotta love their self promotion: "...the greatest hockey tournament to the ICE in 2008" - I guess we can all skip the NCAA tournaments, the Stanley Cup, etc.
