"Two minutes well worth it."
edina 14
faribault 2
edina came out and scored 4 goals in the first 2:14, 2 of which were shorthanded goals. I saw them score 3 pp goals. I would say your best bet against edina is playing even strength. as it was a blow out i skipped the 3rd period which i heard got chippy.
eden prairie 10
irondale 0
irondale held on for a while. their netminder played solid in the first. however, once the 2nd and 3rd goals were sunk, the irondale ship was sunk. eden prairie plays a strong pressing style that is fun to watch. irondale played hard to the end which could be construed as chippy, but in my estamation was simply a team that believed in its coached and played the entire game.
chaska 10
new prague 2
these neighbors played a spirited battle. chaska is well coached and have definitely worked hard at the trade. their power play breakout looked like a high schools, excellent puck movement. chaska's speed and explosiveness is difficult to match up with. new prague played tough scoring on their 1st shot to tie it up at 1 before the end of the 1st period, they also scored on their 3rd shot towards the end of the 2nd period. though new prague played tough, chaska was far superior. and looks to be the team to beat.
minneapolis park 6
highland central 3
a game that was gritty and physical to the end. park held a 2-0 lead at the end of the 1st period on 5 shots. highland was in the park zone much of the first 2 periods out shooting park 19-12 but was down 3-0. the third period was back and forth, each time highland scored park answered quickly. highland had its chances but was unable to capitalize, outshooting park 32-22. park seemed to get the breaks the entire game, 1 goal off the skate of a minneapolis park player being taken down in the slot, a shot going wide at waist level is tipped over the shoulder of the screened highland goalie by another highland player as well as 2 goals rang off the post and in.
irondale and faribault were going on the ice, when my wife forced me to leave for a fish fry at the american legion. edina and eden prairie finished the evening off at 8.
this just in faribault beat irondale 7-2.

been waiting for that one
Thanks. This pretty much sends Eden Prairie to state. Edina will have to beat Chaska - a team the recently dropped a pair to in the District 6 playoff.SuperStar wrote:Ep 3

Edina's Bantams are in the same boat as Eden Prairie's Pee Wees.
