We whent 50 years with no seeding and it was all fine, far as I'm concerned the seeds are dumb anyway. The reason we went to seeding is because two so called "top" teams would face each other in the first round with the loser of the game crying foul...."this is a shame, it should have been the championship"....bull,...IF a given team couldn't beat the other one in the first round, what makes them think it would be any different in the championship?????
Little Falls should be able to do something against St. Thomas Academy, if they can't, then they weren't good enough...bottom line...
I agree, just like it was stated above. If you want to be the best you have to beat the best. Good luck Flyers!~

Little Falls doesn't have a team on their schedule that is close to the caliber of St. Thomas, and it will show in this one. I'd love to see them pull it out but I don't think it's going to happen.

Little Falls did play Brainerd... and beat them... without Ben Hanowski.

FlyerFan12, why not? I saw one game in St Cloud where Little Falls looked not so great. St Thomas has a top end defense this year and a really good goalie. It would be nice to see a game, but it is very possible it won't be close.

You still have yet to point out a team on their schedule that is St. Thomas' caliber.

last year LF was really under estimated yes they were beat but I talked to some hermantown fans that said that we had them pretty scared for a while.

The whole seeding thing for LF really sucks. It should be Litchfield playing STA. It would just be nice to stay at the X a little longer than just having to play the #1 seed right off the bat.

I don't know the game still has to be played. I don't think it will be as lop-sided as some say. I'm thinking the game will be within a Goal or 2 maybe three with an open netter or something.

STA's lines are too deep for LF, all I'm hoping for is a good game, calling it 4-2 STA

tough break for st. thomas. that must suck to get a "political # 1 seed" and have to face "the real # 1 seed" in the first game.

Flyers by 3

i think the players from little falls have a bone to pick, especially with you candy-ass fans from LF who don't have an ounce of confidence in their ability to take the state title.

let's see here. brainerd beat cloquet twice by a combined score of 9-2. brainerd beat elk river, rosemount, cretin and tied moorhead. little falls pounded brainerd 6-3 and holy family catholic 3-2. st. thomas lost to the little breck school that could, and also got pounded by marshall school of duluth, 8-2.

hmmmm, looks to me like small falls is going to deep fry st. stomach

Yes and STA beat Creamed Cretin Twice, Beat Beniled and Blaine Both by the way in the AA tournament. And Lost a heartbreaker in the last seconds in ot to Hill Murray after dominating the whole game.

I wouldn't say beating Cretin for you is a big deal, or Rosemount they lost 8-2 to Woodbury and also to 500 team in Rosemount. STA would be Rosemount by at least 3.

I have to say that the Flyers win this one 4-3. I disagree that they are only top heavy, 3 pretty solid lines for the Flyers. Oh, and Sperl will stand on his head, again!!! Academy, march right to Marriucci for Thursday's game!!

It is real easy to talk big when you are already the underdog, because no one will say anything when Little Falls loses. Face facts, if it was a public school team that was as good as STA is, this thread would be about Little Falls' tough draw. Poor Flyers. Instead, all the mouth pieces come out of the wood work because you beat Brainerd. Brainerd? Seriously....you are justifying your superiority because you beat Brainerd? Not impressed. Apparently, you are forgetting that you lost to pretty much any team you played this year that is the least bit good. Which isn't saying much looking at your schedule. Are any of those teams bantam squads? Also, you beat Brainerd once. Good for you. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. If I were you I'd book the hotel rooms in Minneapolis, you will only be in St. Paul for a couple hours.

Im not sure what candy-ass fans your talking about Junior but, These guys for LF are beyond fired up... the atmosphere around the ice is pure intensity this is not going to be no push over, they lost a close one last year to the #1 seed but this year will be a differnet story, they will not let that happen again.

Little Falls 5
St. Thomas 3

6-3 is not a close game chief...

STA is too deep for LF, LF has two players...STA has three lines

My prediction...
