Who is this Blake team?
Trying to pick my brackets and the more I look at Blake's season the more I feel like Alice in Wonderland - it gets curiouser and curiouser.
Pounded by CDH, Maple Grove, Owatonna and Lourdes, lose to Providence.
BUT... Play Burnsville to 0-2, beat Roseville and Woodbury.
What gives?

kind of a simplistic answer HS.
I have only watched about 4-5 of their games this season, but what I have observed is they have an inconsistent goalie who can play a good game at times, but overall is pretty average. Their first line is quite talented, but seems to resort to some fairly selfish play and their star Birkholz can have a hard time letting go of the puck and passing it, and this can really get them in trouble.
They are well coached and I think this results in them playing beyond their talent level at times. They are not very deep in talent and so when the goalie and the first line is off, it can hurt big time.

Every game starts at 0-0 and hockey is a game of momentum. Same two teams can play six times and youd be surprised what you would see. Guys its just so hard to compare scores and get anything out of it. I will tell you what is key and thats peaking at the right time.
Do I have to shadow Pavelich again coach?
Actually, the HS is in Minneapolis right near Parade. The middle school is in Hopkins. Not sure if or where the lower school is. Although they do play hockey at the middle school.Boogaard24Balla wrote:Blake, MN? your kidding right?rams80 wrote:Just a nice team from Blake, MN
Blake has such a huge hockey tradition, its a priovate school in hopkins.
I like the Blake, MN answer better.
yes the high school is in minneapolis, the middle school is in hopkins, and there are actually two lower schools, one on the same campus as the middle school in hopkins, and one in wayzataskiumah wrote:Actually, the HS is in Minneapolis right near Parade.
