what is a scarlet?

what tough teams have mankato west beat?

also last question.... why do ppl think mankato west will smoke marshall?? it is the state tournament and a score like 7 to 2 won't happen because marshall has too much experience in good games ex. "vs sta" ..... if anything marshall will come to play their hardest and mankato will fall apart half way through the second which is when marshall will score most of their goals....
i might be wrong but i think it used to be a word for a bear, but the school doesn't want to have a bear for a logo so they don't use it

Much tougher schedule for DM
DM has two goalies (one with better stats than the WM and one just below).
DM has two of the top 3 rated blue liners in class A. Two others are top quality.
DM will skate 3 extremely fast lines and the 4th will see ice time.
DM, has seen, division 1 players with a few Mr. Hockey finalists, game in and game out.
DM is healthy and you can spin stats all you want.
So they didn't have these same things going for them when they were taken to overtime by a .500 Hibbing club? I would say West is at least as good as Hibbing. Marshall is the better club and should win, but don't be shocked if West gives them a game. The biggest advantage is they've been in the state spotlight. If West can get over the 1st period state jitters and still be in the game, they could make it interesting.
You obviosly dont know much about Hibbing. Year in and year out, they play a very tough schedule (not anything compared to the dozen or so teams which almost always get put into running time that MW plays), and always play their best hockey in February. (Beat IFalls twice). They were in the section final again. Hibbing's record rarely tells what kind of a team they are at the end of the year.

the name comes from the historical backround of the school... the school name changed when they moved from downtown duluth to the top of the hill so they changed their name to hilltopper because of the placement of the school and how it was at the top of the hill while all the other duluth schools were lower than them.

that is what i think it means but go to urban dictionary and see their definition it is pretty funny...

Please continue to give West no chance in hell. It's worked all season, It'll work again.

This will be the best game of the first two Class A sessions.

WEST: Nobodys giving you a shot, no one believes in you other than your fans and you yourselves. Bring it to the X, leave it all on the ice, and just remember, you have the chance to prove thousands wrong on television at the big dance. Do it. Go to the X and win. I wouldn't worry too much about staying out of the box. Marshall's powerplay is clicking at a whopping 16% with just 18 goals all year. They are probably more dangerous on the penalty kill, which is at 88% and has netted them a +2  over the season with 17 shorthanded goals (they've allowed just 15 powerplay goals).

If either of these teams are not motivated by now, they have problem. Too much of this jargon is going on and each side will play hard. Probably not going out on a limb in saying this will be closer than the second game.

This game will probably be closer than the Litchfield-Warroad contest, but it may not be and if it isn't you can bet the farm that it's Marshall that administers the butt-kicking. West has not seen a forecheck like Marshall will bring from all three of its lines all year. They have not seen a team bring sustained pressure from all over the ice by talented players who have learned how to bring sustained pressure by playing a host of superior teams. Yes, West has some dangerous players. Marshall has a buttload of dangerous players, who are seriously battle-tested. That does matter. What does West bring in comparison?
