Favorite Mighty Ducks Movie
What do you think?
I absolutely loved all of the movies.
I absolutely loved all of the movies.
Being that I own the Mighty Ducks DVD box set, my opinion should be the only one that matters.
The answer is the first one.
D2 was way too preachy and I could never get behind the tie-dyed jerseys of the Trinidad team. Ridculous.
D3 was just a dumb premise to begin with. Importing a bunch of goobers from around the country as a whole team and sending them all to the same school, then proceeding to fight with their own classmates? What a joke... the seniors present themselves publically as a bunch of well rounded folks, but we find out that in real life, they're a bunch of weasels. Add to that the fact that the school's name is Eden Hall ( Eden Prairie & Cretin Derham-HALL perhaps?!). Interesting.
I like the message behind the first one... Drunk driving makes you a winner!

Gotta love the courthouse scene filmed in St. Cloud.

Anybody ever see Slap Shot 2? Mrs. Govs thought she was doing me a favor a couple of years ago when she was wandering through the store, found it on DVD and bought it for me. If you haven't seen it, the plot is very close to D2 - but with blood and cursing. It is so, so sad. The premise is absolutely ridiculous.
I would say that if it weren't for Caddyshack 2, Slap Shot 2 would be the worst sequel in the history of movies.

I think Slap Shot 2 gives Caddyshack 2 a run for it's money. Both were horrible.Govs93 wrote:Anybody ever see Slap Shot 2? C'mon, what didn't you like about the Hanson's winning the lotto and buying the team? Or a cupie doll woman coach for that brass bunch of yahoos? You didn't like all the Ivy Leaguers pretending to be hockey players? Seriously, agreed one of the worst ever. At least Caddy II was somewhat realisticState Champ 97 wrote:I think Slap Shot 2 gives Caddyshack 2 a run for it's money. Both were horrible.Govs93 wrote:Anybody ever see Slap Shot 2? I don't think so. I think the hockey scenes were shot at Parade, Coon Rapids, and New Hope.ap4mvp wrote:I haven't watched the first one in a while but one of my friends told me it was film at the National Hockey Center is this true?Goldy Gopher wrote:It's got to be the first one.BladeButter44 wrote:What do you think?

Not true. The championship game was filmed at New Hope, you can see the NH on the wall during the pre-game.ap4mvp wrote:I haven't watched the first one in a while but one of my friends told me it was film at the National Hockey Center is this true?Goldy Gopher wrote:It's got to be the first one.BladeButter44 wrote:What do you think?
