For example: Champlin Park beat Blaine twice during the season, so im sure they are ticked because they feel like they could be there.
Or in a more upset example: Tartan over Hill Murry
Lets Hear It Losers

As for tough-luck teams that could have done damage in St. Paul, Minnetonka tops my list. They had a great season. Sometimes you lose at the wrong time.
Schwan Gold champs have not gone on to win the HS title.

A little far fetched with your AAA, select, all star recruit team there thorthorhockey wrote:Always a treat to get the opportunity to call Hill LOSERSOr in a more upset example: Tartan over Hill Murry

More to come this week for sure.
Nuet is correct - not the last time
Tartan's landslide happened after that game - goal accomplished, I guess.
Anytime an average team can beat a AAA, select, all star recruit team, the bragging rights will hang on for years to come.
Sorry PPG
Sorry for what? For your poor season? Not winning the conference? The low seed in sections? The butt whooping in the 1st round of sections? Nice to know that you look up to Hill so much that beating them early in the season was the goal for the year. I guess the Tartan fans can watch the tournament & see Hill play & say, "remember when we beat those guys a couple of months ago....that was cool." Says a lot about a program when thier goal can be achieved in the first part of the season when most wanna accomplish their goals at the end. I guess both programs were successful...Tartan beat a powerhouse & Hill is back at state.thorhockey wrote:Always a treat to get the opportunity to call Hill LOSERSOr in a more upset example: Tartan over Hill Murry

If he dropped the recruit part, he'd be very close.hm88 wrote:A little far fetched with your AAA, select, all star recruit team there thorthorhockey wrote:Always a treat to get the opportunity to call Hill LOSERSOr in a more upset example: Tartan over Hill Murry

They've beat 5 of the 8 teams in the state tournament including all the top 4 seeds.
Now that's an interesting fact.ACTUALFORMERPLAYER wrote:The Roseau Christmas Tourney has had more Championship winners go on and win state than the Schwan's Cup.

I would assume you already have an excuse list drafted when you become a State Tourney LOSER again. The question is not IF you make it to State duh - it's IF you can get to the semis and be considered a TRUE powerhouse.
I do wish Furne and Westie luck however - great kids, great parents. I will be rooting for them to win it all, and thrilled for them if they do. If they had kept their allegiances to Tartan we no doubt could have had that shot at State.

It means Minnetonka beat Roseau in a scrimmage, nothing more, nothing less. Has no bearing on which team is better, or worse.DasCondor wrote:means minnetonka is better, only doesnt mean anything in standings/statsMNHockeyGuy08 wrote:I think he is referring to a scrimmage where Minnetonka beat Roseau, which doesn't mean jack ***t.
