Excellent game, very exciting to watch. Certainly not a blow out that many people expected. DM should have been the #1 seed in this tournament and MW played them very well. Excellent showing for southern MN hockey. Congrats to MW for making the State Tourney and good luck to DM going forward.

MW revealed their overrating. They learned little by being outshot by Lourdes in the section final. 28 shots on goal in the 1/4 final against Duluth is pathetic. They clearly scored well during the season against weaker teams.

What a way to start out the State Tourney. Awesome win by DM way to guys. DM derserved it but wow Lieverman awesome and I don,t know if this Litchfield kid is a Senior but if he is D1 ought to be looking at him. Great skater and I love skaters and great hands to boot. Tthat line of MW was the real deal! Again being DM is just down the road and I love watching them all season I,m really glad they won. MW you got heart and thanks for giving me a great show! Could have won and should be proud!
Do I have to shadow Pavelich again coach?

That game was a ton of fun to watch. That Leivermann kid is something special. Litchfield is a good player too, but not quite what I was expecting. Both Bruggeman boys played very well. Hats of to Duluth Marshall for holding on to that win, West was coming 100 miles an hour in the last half of the third. I thought Willie Paul played fantastic. If Marshall does that much standing around in the next couple games, they will fall short of the title again.

You are wrong. Mankato West deserved to be there. They are a very good team and they played very hard. If a bounce or two went their way they would be playing in the state semi-finals Friday.

good outlook on the game once again BIAFP, you have yet to give any good info on this forum, you have nothing good to say about anything. once again, show what kind of idiot you are.

I thought the first HillTopper goal was very soft weak goal, but DM got the win, which is all that really matters, good luck to DM the rest of the way in the tourney.

Maybe he can talk up how the private schools are "stealing" all of his top talent. He's hard to listen to.

I think its safe to say that "Gruntcall" is a sore loser and probably cried after the game. Its funny that your trying to be classy all of a sudden wishing the toppers good luck. As far as saying BIAFP had nothing good to add take a look in the mirror. All you have had to offer is stupid rambling about how great MW is. You appear to not know anything about hockey outside MW.

Have a fun school year. Im sure your excited for the season to be over so you and Livermann can spend more quality time together. MW had thier year and Gruntcall and all the other bandwagoners will disapear into the night in 09'.

The only one eating crow today is you. But thats understandable. You couldnt have known what to expect. You have only seen MW roll in an easy regular season.

Its unbelievable how mature some of you are. This was your first post on here! Your the one that needs to get a life. Obviously when kids have that many points they don't suck. And I'm pretty sure that they have a life. Every MN high school hockey players dream is to get the opportunity to play in the state tournament and people bash them on how they "suck" and "need to get a life".

Congrats to every single Mankato West player on their trip to state and good luck in the rest of the tourney. They played right with what many consider the best team in the state, I think they proved themselves to be a team that deserves respect for what they accomplished this year.

Lou Nanne does the AA games if I'm not mistaken. Ha, he isn't to fond of northern teams. Watch out if Cloquet or Roseau wins, you will be hearing every single excuse in the book on why they did

Thats no lie either. I'd swear that Lou thinks that the State Tournament is nothing more than the Twin Cities Team Tournament. But hey, deep down, they all have their biases...just some announcers are better at NOT projecting them than others are.

Great game... The MW first line has some major speed, which created quite a few rushes for them. Both Paul and Bruggeman played a great game. Good luck in your next game to both teams.

Kind of like some certain northern people feel the A tournament should be for a private school from a town of 100,000 or a team that's afraid to play AA hockey because they might have to get beaten by Roseau and their fragile ego's just couldn't handle that?

I'd rather see West, Litchfield, Little Falls, Park Rapids, Crookston, etc. than the sandbaggers from STA, Blake, DM, and Warroad.
