Best PeeWee A teams next year
One word: Wayzata
-- Defending PeeWee A champs
-- Both B1s played for state championship
-- Squirt A's won Fargo
That's a lot of talent funneling into one team.

How many players are first year?Hockeyguy_27 wrote:Let me get this straight--Wayzata has The State Champion in Pee Wee A and BOTH of its B1 teams are the Championship game of the B1 State Tourney? Unless these teams were composed of all 2nd year players I think Younghans will be chillin next season.slapper5 wrote:Lakeville South

Hey, don’t know what the AV is all about, but Slapper5 had the answer. The Lakeville South team eliminated Wayzata Gold this year from the state in the East Regional. That leaves one of the three Wayzata B1 teams in the running for the state this year along with the peewee A team. This year’s peewee A team was the recipient of last years peewee A state champion and the two peewee B teams (that contended in the state championship game). I was just curious how many players on the four peewee A/B1 teams (particularly the A’s) were first year players this year. I actually don’t think it makes a big difference on a team fielded next year. Kids grow.

Re: AV Recruiting
The subject on this thread was the best peewee A team next year and somebody brought up Wayzata. I would like to find out what people think about who has the best peewee A team and why. AV recruiting is the subject of another thread.council member retired wrote:When my oldest son finished high school one of the teams made a big push and won state at the h.s. level.. had a Swede, a mpls kid, and western suburb boy all move into town.....didn't av have a move in this year?

Best A Peewee Team Next Year
Eastcoasthockey--Coon Rapids A peewee team - all but 1 or 2 kids move up to bantams next year, 2 years ago when they were #1 squirt A team the whole team moved to peewees except 1 and they were the last place team for D10 A squirts. So wouldn't expect too much from them next year at A peewee level.eastcoasthockey wrote:coon rapids should be excellent as most of their team was 1st years.

if You'll notice - this thread is over a year old. East Coast Hockey made that comment pertaining to what he thought this years (07-08 ) team would do. I would say it was an accurate statement, as they had a record of 40-10-4hockeychick wrote:

Max, you follow D10 fairly well. How will Centennial do next year? A parent on the team told me early this year that they had 10 or so first year players on a team that was competitive.MaxPower wrote:if You'll notice - this thread is over a year old. Mounds View will dangle I heard they could be the top of D2.
Re: Best A Peewee Team Next Year
Yes, Centennial did have a good number of first year players on their PWA team this year. I would expect them to have a better than average team next season. Their PWB teams did nothing, and didn't make the D10 playoff this year. However, the SQA team took 2nd in the D10 playoffs and should have some solid players moving up, I would expect to see 3-4 players move from SQ to PWA next year.frederick61 wrote:Max, you follow D10 fairly well. I could see them being a top 20 team in 08-09, but I just don't know if they will make the jump to top 10 elite. They should be a top level team in D10 though.
