When Roseau beat Blaine 1-0 they were both playing on the same ice...the ice didnt just slow down the rams, Blaine had an early breakaway where a kid fell because of bad ice....I dont know if Blaine has what it takes to beat Roseau but I believe this will be a one goal game, 2 if there is an empty netter
Alot of people going for the upset based on a game with a wind that was blowing 3o mph. The ice was rough and the puck bounced whenever you tried to make a pass or the snow would stop it completely. this slowed Roseau down to a snails crawl and gave blaine a chance to muck it up alittle. Yet that still didnt work. Clean Ice and Blaine chances the puck most of the game, Rams are going to move the puck and make the skate. It will be close going into the third then Roseau pulls away!

I think you have to completely throw out the 1-0 game these two played earlier up in Baudette. That game had -40 windchills.
That game was very evenly played and even got somewhat testy between the two. Ness barely ever left the ice. Roseau definitely didn't look like the team that they are brought up to be.
Tonight will be much different. I look at Roseau to come out flying and really take it to Blaine. The Rams are looking to prove to the state that they really are the number one team. I see the Rams moving on in a very physical game

The same ice argument is ridiculous. Using that logic if they wore tennis shoes and played broom ball then both teams played under the same circumstances. Right? I'm not sure who benefited more from the conditions and I'm not going to guess, but I'm sure the game tonight will be much different from their first meeting.LetsPlayHockey22 wrote:When Roseau beat Blaine 1-0 they were both playing on the same ice...the ice didnt just slow down the rams, Blaine had an early breakaway where a kid fell because of bad ice....I dont know if Blaine has what it takes to beat Roseau but I believe this will be a one goal game, 2 if there is an empty netter

I can't see Blaine staying with Roseau in this one. Roseau looks relaxed and ready to play. This should put a muzzle on all the metro geniuses who've been harping about Roseau's "weak schedule".
I heard Jake Gardiner interviewed this week on the radio, talking about how this tournament will be either Edina's or Benilde's. He made a remark about Roseau's soft schedule. He'll find out this weekend that their schedule must not be so soft after all. Roseau 5 - Blaine 1.
