This game smells of not napalm but of OT baby! Edina has stronger Top end players, BSM has much better depth and is more senior laden. Caschetta has started the tourney nicely in goal as has Meyers, The stage has a few more lights and atmosphere. We will see which goalie has the ice in his veins. Sweet Lou will add to the evenings atmosphere.

I am giving the edge to Edina's tourney experienced players and like the motivation Anders Lee has having been left off any of the metro teams this week. Lee in OT 3-2. :D

i think BSM is better than burnsville, and Edina barely beat Bville the two times they played this year (Both in OT)
.... just something to consier
burnsville also has an amazing goalie, not saying bsm's goalie isnt good he's just not at that next level

Do the publics have pockets in their breezers filled with cash while the privates have no pockets???

Both teams are very good, Edina has more skill, but BSM is so solid. THE BUdish, Everson, Lee line is incredible. However, Student, McCarthy and Borer are very capable. The Knights have the right style and proper depth to take down the most talented team in state. These two semi's are gonna be awesome!

Prediction
Edina 5 BSM 4 in an instant classic OT thriller

While, to an extent, I share this sentiment, I do not think it is so much that Giles doesn't trust his third line. It's just that his top three guys are such workhorses, they can handle the load (just like Ness is on the ice well over half the time). Why not keep putting them out there?

But the competition is only going to get tougher, so I am interested to see if it does start to affects them...

...and maybe even Giles will run the third line out there a little more in the early goings of the next couple games...it's not as if they aren't good...

The Red Knights tie it up with 1:00 left in the 1st.

Edina comes right back and scores 16 secs later!

We got a good one here folks!

Edina - 2
BSM - 1
After 1

BSM is certainly in the game. Their forecheck is working well for them. Edina was, in my opinion, outplayed by BSM for the second half of the 1st. (Sans the quick 2nd goal)

Edina needs to breakout better and maintain puck possession in the BSM end in order to grab control of this game.

Ask Mtka about letting these Red Knights hang around....

1 line in particular is always an eye catcher

Lee, Everson, Buddish

Best line in the state in my opinion.

This is a heck of a game. Benilde is quick and Edina is big and physical.

Good action here late in the 2nd.

BSM's line of Zierke, Berglund and Applehof are impressive as is their Soph goalie Meyers.

Edina's winning on the scoreboard but BSM is out hustling them.
