Congrats to HM on knowing what it took to finally do what no other team could do in over 30 games...beat the Rams by playing dirty. Hats off to them. Not.

As for Roseau:

We can all take it easy on Aaron Ness. The kid carried the team on his shoulders for two years. And he showed up tonight. Despite what you all say, he showed up. An assist on their second goal with under a minute left? The kid doesn't give up. So when he wins Mr. Hockey you can all eat your words.

Mike Lee played average tonight, huh? Hmmm definitely not. It could have easily been 7 or 8 to 0 after two periods. He stopped numerous breakaways. Yes, the first two goals were marginal, but he will win the Frank Brimsek next year so take it easy. And remember, it was the kid's first loss.
So Roseau didn't lose to the better team for they were "dirty" cheaters?

The officiating was as bad as I've ever seen.
#24 for Hill tackles better than the Vikings secondary.
Roseau could have had 15 power plays and they still would have lost.
Hill was physically the bigger and better team.
South gets ripped but was physically closer to Hill than Roseau ever was and generated more chances than Roseau did. Size does matter.
Hill should be Edina handily, they're the best team.

The Vikings were 8-8. Nobody in the secondary could tackle.

I think it boils down to the fact that no one that isn't directly linked with either school can give me a reason to root for either squad.....

wow was that an amazing one sided refed game. Anytime a roseau guy fell it was 2 minutes on hill. and Roseau guys fall all the time... roseau had so many extra free powerplays to get this win but they were so much beaten up and tired with only 2 lines that they had nothing in the tank despite the 7 extra powerplays...

Gotta go against hill murray. I'd like to see Anders Lee add the real trophy to his collection.

Wow. My comments:

Hill did not look like the team they were against Lakeville South. They played great tonight!

Do not agree that Ness was a non-factor. Hill executed a great plan to make him much less of a factor than he normally is. But he definitely created some scoring opportunities and made impressive plays. Also, I gotta think all that ice time makes it tough late in the game.

AND, Lee played very well. Not average. Much better than average. Perhaps his stats are reflective of a weak schedule, BUT, if he hadn't played a great game tonight, Roseau would have been burried much earlier in the game.

Congrats to Hill. Impressive!

This picture is a few words short. The puck doesn't even look like it's in the picture.

From what I have heard, none of the Hill (Flip, Cecka, Furne, Sova, Dolan) boys have received offers. Just what I've heard tho, no confirmation.
Just livin' the dream...

Wrong. City Power too much for small Rams squad. Sorry, It's 4:30 AM, I've just watched the games and can only respond, with the gift of seeing the game, to some of the silly posts..

An Edina-Hill Murray final? There's this movie my wife has been wanting to see. Image

Lee
That's more what I expected. Lee to finally give in and see Brokeback Mountain with his wife instead of this final (Imagine how many people would have skipped it if BSM had won).

I'm sure David is happy to see his complete career aired again while the rest of us go get a cold one from the fridge.
Now that was funny. I just triple forwarded through it myself. Not like it hasn't been on a trillion times. Let's pick another kid to do a spotlight on. How about Goerhing from Apple Valley...
