GL tomorrow Privates, I'm sure the whole state will be watching.
So kids who go to private school don't have pride? You could argue they might have more pride considering they and there family make financial and other sacrifices to go to these schools. Get over yourself. These are just teenage kids playing there hearts out at state. Don't hate on them they are just playing hockey, the sport you obviously care enough about to go on forums and write online. No ones making you watch they game so get off this thread and let people who are going to discuss the actual game with class talk about it.
That being said, Do u think STA playing a easy game in the Semi's might be a disadvantage? it seems like teams that blowout team at state don't do as well the next game.
And does anyone know who the goalie for DM will be? looks like it should be willie after his great game against Warroad but i thought they were going to rotate goalies....
Thats what i thought too, but i guess Flaherty went with his "gut feeling" according to the great announcers on tv.
Hockeywatcher, its because that is the schools actual name. School may had said something about it. I think it sounds dumb too.
according to Duluth News Tribune, Marshall does. Article in today's paper addresses how Mike and Dano Jacques single handidly recruited Zach Mausolf and Lanny Olson to move inwith them so that they could win that elusive state A title. Even addressed Brendan Flaherty's notorious record of recruting and how the range teams won't play them...
HShockeywatcher wrote:anyone know why they call it "marshall school of duluth"? The school is called Marshall School, also sometimes goes by Duluth Marshall. You may say that's picking hairs, but that'd be like calling STA Academy of St Thomas, etc, etc. It's been bugging me the last couple days.
In this years State Tournament program every mention of Marshall is "Marshall School, Duluth" including past tournament finishes and such. I think it's pretty funny! It had to have been someone from the school insisting that it be called by its formal name.
I'm not trying to be a pain and draw a lot of attention to the school or anything, but the actual school's name is "Marshall School." I've heard "The Marshall School" as well at times. When you put the comma in there, it's just saying the school's located in Duluth. Just to throw it out there if you put someone's name with a comma "Doe, John" wouldn't you call him "John Doe" so it would be "Duluth Marshall School?"
