For all the "citiots"

Post by THEDOMINATOR39 »

Whether you like Hill or not last nights was great because it finally shut up all you northerners and proved that your Rams were not a God-send. Congrats to Hill they are pretty good for a bunch of "Citiots"...

Perhaps it will never be over, but for 2008, it is.

Hopefully northerners will now understand why city fans will understand why the skeptimism exists. There's a reason why Edina has 2 losses coming into tonight and Hill-Murray has 3 and their goalies don't have undefeated records with under 1.0 GAA's.

I didn’t mean to say that it was over but I’m just glad I could come on this morning and not have to see a topic about how everyone thinks this years Roseau team is better than the 93 Bloom Jefferson team... I mean honestly it just got ridiculous

I for one never said either team was bad, obviously they are both elite. I just can't cheer for Minnesota hockey's version of the New York Yankees....however just like that Yankees teams such as these need to exist and dare I say thrive. A necessary evil if you will.
If we didn't have conflict we'd all be pretty bored

All I can say, 42 in a row, wake up a little Cidiot and look at the resume, not a single game, give it a try expand the brain a little...

Lee has a scholarship in hand at SCS, Phillipi does not, and may have to go to Juniors to find a suitor, my guess - St. Thomas is calling...

Worst game Roseau played all year, best game HM played all year, what does that give us, HM moves on...

Go Hornets

There were 5 very good teams this year.

Edina, BSM, Tonka, HM and Roseau. Put them in any order you like.

None of these teams would be undefeated if they played a double round robin but it sure would be fun to watch.

Ironic that the worst game they played all year was against the best team they played all year. Kind of a habit that good teams tend to do when you play them; they make you make mistakes and not look as good as when you're playing Baudette.

I'm glad that Lee has his scholarship in hand. SUPER!! =D>

42 in a row....I commend the Rams on it. It wouldn't have been 42 in a row had they faced Minnetonka twice, St. Thomas Academy, Benilde, Burnsville, and I'd even say Hopkins may have gotten 'em once over a two game stretch.

Who you beat means something to us down here! It's an unfortunate situation that Roseau is put in having to play 3 great games of hockey in a row to prove anything to us, but that' unfortunately, that's how it is.

Those that have watched a lot of metro hockey (and some N hockey too) this season and concluded that they were seeing some very talented metro hockey teams who were superior to a certain team in the north, were vindicated last night.

We got beat up on the bored throughout the season because of our posts and I suspect there are quite a few of us cidiots who are enjoying the moment.

No doubt we haven't see the last of the Rams. Maybe next time though their fans will at least consider that a city team might be pretty darn good or have a player on the roster that is deserving of Mr. Hockey consideration.

Perceived weakness by the same people who have to get out and watch some hockey other than at BIG, Aldrich, Wakota...
There was one win in the middle, ahhhhh yes, State Champs in 2007, sometimes we forget, little Jinkoba for the memory may help...

One game, snapshot in time for HM, congrats... Ends tonight for Stillwater, ah sorry I mean Woodbury, ah, what I meant to say is Hill-Johnson, Murray, there it is...

I agree with you on the talent of the 90's and 91's, its unbelievable the amount of kids getting scholarships from the Twin Cities and Minnesota in general this year, and its great to see.
Edina, Minnetonka, Hill, Burnsville, BSM were outstanding teams this year, I watched many of them play regular season games, and agree wholeheartedly...
Trouble is, there are over 3 million people in the Twin Cities, and to get the word out on the other teams in the state, and get the repsect they deserve, there are a few which try to get the word out, right or wrong, they want to be heard too.
I knew exactly what would happen if Roseau lost, god forbide that they lost, because there was going to 3 million cidiots that said " there, they weren't that good", its not right that the one Northern team has to go 3-0 to get recognized for what they are, a great team...
As I said, HM was the better team last night, one game, snapshot in time, but don't tell me that last night shows that Roseau isn't one of the elite teams, please don't insult my intelligence and others like that!

Of course the northerners will shut up with their 32 state tournement appearances, 7 championships, numerouse division 1 collegiate players, and NHLers....oh, that was just Roseau..........especially since most of the northern teams don't even play in that "superior" class......yes, that victory ends it....

you have to remember that "us" northerners could care less about hockey. this whole thing is a joke. it's people like the 'citiots' that froth and gnash their teeth at the thought of watching a girls 10U game, while being completely oblivious to what's happening to the united states in world economics and impending global war.

as hunters up north, we believe in the 2nd amendment.

"we've got guns, yes we do, we've got guns, how 'bout you?!"

I have seen, and written, some pretty ridiculous and pointless posts., however that was just outright weird and I am mad you wasted my time for having read it.

This happens every year, A lesser team beats a giant and the end result is a crappy Final. Last year Rapids upset Edina and the result was a " blah " Sat night.

The only diff is when a South team pulls off a Upset they tend to forget its a UPSET. Roseau beats Hill 8-10 times. You played outa UR @SS.

Its truely funny how the cities act like this was there superbowl. Hill got an upset over the top ranked team. Seems to me that happenes alot, very few teams make it through this state unbeaten and you saw why last night. Congrats to Hill, a hot goalie and some very rough play was the right combo to a victory. But dont down play the fact they won 40+ games. No matter how great you are its hard to go that long without loseing, plus part of that winning streak came in last years state tourney that they did win. Hill beat up Roseau and in my feelings played alittle on the dirty side with the crosschecks to Ness in the back plus afew others. SO tonight I say go Edina! Atleast it would be a public school with the 1st place trophy.

You people from the metro area have to remember that it isn't Roseaus fault where they live.

If you guys wanted to pitch in some of your money and pay for the transportation costs for Roseau to travel down to the cities area 5 or 6 times a year to play you give the Roseau school district a call. Its kinda sad you cant acknowledge these kids as a top team in the state

Give it up all you 612ers and give the boys some credit. They won 42 games in a row, have at least 3 kids for sure going D-1 and represent a northern town with tons of hockey tradition.

Its kind of funny because I think the people living in the metro area get far more worked up about the whole North vs South issue than us northerners (mind you i don't hail from Roseau but do reside in northern minnesota)

And i think its pretty fair to say that us northerners acknowledge your hockey talent. Look at the population numbers down there. Roseau has 410 kids in their school. Come on guys Blaine's enrollment was nearly the population of Roseau.

And city boys winning Mr. Hockey?!?! Give me a break. Since 1985, 16 of the 23 Mr. Hockey winners have come from the metro area.

I'm done with this topic, at least for now

Sorry but Hill was a RANKED team all year also! It's not like this is some unbelievable upset. Roseau taking runs at Flip was clean?? How about the body slam?? Oliver didn't have a problem mixing it up with Sova every shift. A team finally wasn't intimidated by Roseau and the 42-0 record. Hill got a lot more penalties they paid for the crosscheck it wasn't like Ness was out of the game! Doesn't anyone remember what the Ducks did to the Wild last year? Hill came out and said "We play in the 4AA and it ain't a TicTacToe league!"

Fixed it. but it doesn't sound as good.[/b]
