Selected by the media that was at the tournament and the MSHSL:

St. Thomas Academy Cadets:

Ryan Walters (Sophomore) - Forward
Jon Schreiner (Senior) - Defenseman
James Saintey (Senior) - Forward
Kurt Altrichter (Sophomore) - Goaltender
Rob Vannelli (Senior) - Defenseman

Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers:

Zach Mausolf (Junior) - Forward
Willy Paul (Junior) - Goaltender
Dano Jacques (Senior) - Defenseman

willie paul really surprised me. Otherwise they did a good job.

I think Paul earned his spot. He won that Warroad game for Marshall, and he was very good against Mankato West. He was only pulled in the championship game because the coach wanted try to get a spark out of the team, not because he was playing poorly.

I think most people who pay attention could have named 75% of the All-Tourney team before the tourney even started! They just recycle the names you've heard all year and maybe sneak in one of two surprises.

I agree that Isaakson could/should have been included. One problem, however, is that the ballots are due during the 1st intermission of the championship game. Thus, anything that happens in the 2nd period on has no bearing on the all-tournament team.

They should do the ballot after the 3rd game, in my opinion.

Question about that; do they have a ballot result depending on which team wins? Had Marshall won would they have had less guys on the team than the runner ups?
