Zierke

I was just wondering if anyone knew what the deal was with him. Because last year after being kicked off the team he went to play in the USHL and did not attend benilde's high school. So does he have another year of eligibility? Or how does that whole thing work?

What happened last year is water over the bridge...no need to discuss it further...what matters is the Z man played great this season leading BSM to the State tourney and a 3rd place finish...good luck to him down the road!

Has he gotten any offers? Is he drafted by a USHL team?

He didn't go to school last year? Or just didn't play HS Hockey?

I'd like to add something before they close this topic. Zierke is a stud and whoever is lucky enough to get him in the USHL and then college is going to have gem of a player.

Agree, the kid has played fantastic this year and his contributions to BSM are MVP like. More over, he seems to have dealt with issues in his past and has matured greatly. He will be a future player to watch. Best of Luck.

Excellent player, my guess a USHL team will not take him and he will go to a Junior A team where he will light it up. Steven is an awesome kid but needs to focus on team play and improving his attitude. I highly doubt a college will risk signing him based on his past as there are too many good players out there, colleges are not in the business of RISK. He should go to Canada and play there.

Whoever takes a chance on him has to remember with the good comes some baggage, like it or not. Good luck Steve.

i would have to agree with greenbendit in sayin that he is a pretty big risk. He is very talented player but still has attitude problems that, in my mind, arent worth taking a chance on.

The people whom I've spoken with regarding Zierke have said he has made a 180 turn with respect to his temper and has grown up a great deal. I'm going to cut this kid some slack because I've heard he has learned from his mistakes. I think Zierke will go on to great things and like I said, whoever gets kid, will be getting a steal.

Hey the only reason why Z got kicked off the team last year was he got an a huge argurement with Larry Hendrickson because he did not like the way he was coaching and they thought Zirke was a bad influence on the team but when Pauly came he changed his ways totally

Dude, I agree....but a college or USHL (college prep) is not going to take a chance on him...especially when there are a lot of good players out there...look at all the players out there from this class that has not been picked up yet....Canada and then maybe...there is a chance...
