Announcing Ms Hockey after the Girls' State Tournament

Congratulations to Abby Ness' brother Aaron from Roseau for being named Mr. Hockey today. I think Abby has a good chance of following in her brother's footsteps in 2011! I would like to see the Ms. Hockey and Senior Goaltender of the Year awarded after the State Tournament like they do for the boys. I think it will gives those that vote a chance to really see what the candidates can do.

From what I understand that is true, it is only the timing of the announcement that is different. An argument can be made for this - if they wait to vote until the state tournament is concluded, it would be a major disadvantage to those boys and girls whose team did not make it.
