Having watched Moorhead play 4 times this year (I have not watched Edina), I think that if Moorhead lays it all out on the line, they will beat Edina.
The potato should be respected, which apparently has not been happening in the polls, opinions, and threads. This lack of respect should bode well for the Spuds.

Be prepared for the Ram also. They too, deserve respect.

With all due respect, and remember I said "with all due respect" your opinion ain't worth crap! Edina will bake these spuds to a nice golden brown color & then send them off to spring break.punchinbag wrote:Having watched Moorhead play 4 times this year (I have not watched Edina), I think that if Moorhead lays it all out on the line, they will beat Edina.

Spuds
I would not overlook the Spuds that is a very good Bantam A hockey club. They will match up very well against Edina.

Home Ice
All the teams that made the Bantam A state tourney are strong teams, and all deserve to be there. And, any of the teams has a chance to come out as champions. State is made for upsets. Last year, WBL Orange Bantam B finished third in district 2 and yet won state. Anything can happen! I haven't seen Moorheard yet this season, but they have a great record and a history of fielding quality teams. Edina may have a strong advantage in that State is at Braemar, their home ice!
Re: Home Ice
Yes, but they also weren't sent to an easier region because of that. Don't say it wasn't an easier region, because it was.MedleyWR wrote:All the teams that made the Bantam A state tourney are strong teams, and all deserve to be there. But I was just pointing that out...they did unexpectedly win those 3 games against 3 good teams to become champions and I respect that, but the road to state wasn't exactly the toughest one.
Re: Home Ice
What difference does it make what region WBL came through last year? They still beat Blaine, Wayzata and Eden Prairie to win State. By your reasoning should we diminish Eden Prairie's road to State this year because they came through the South region as well? After all, they are the 2nd seed from what you declare is an "easier region". Doesn't that lessen their accomplishment? Of course not! That would be as ridiculous as your attempt to diminish WBL's accomplishment of last year. Teams that go to State get there because they won during playoffs, when it counts. And no excuses, caveats, asterisks or extenuating circumstances are necessary.chillout wrote:Yes, but they also weren't sent to an easier region because of that. Re: Home Ice
Using those big words doesn't make me switch my mind in any sort of way watsoever. I never tried to diminish their accomplishments, just pointed out that they came through an easier region. What if they were in the East region and lost and never even went to state? Then you wouldn't be on this forum talking them up and how they were the "underdog" and had the "upsets" to win the tourney. You really think its something that this White Bear "B1" team won state last year. Yeah, good job for them it was a great accomplishment, its over. Last year. I don't care to hear about them anymore.MedleyWR wrote:What difference does it make what region WBL came through last year? They still beat Blaine, Wayzata and Eden Prairie to win State. It's starting to get easier and easier to tell that your a dad of one of the kids on that team by how you always seem to defend what people say about their team. You try to sound so smart on this forum and "win" these argument type situations, and they usually start because of someone saying something about your precious "B1" state champs of '07.
