This list is a little better than the Pioneer press list. Some good players listed.

No one answered in the other thread, so I'll ask again. Is hockey a sport you can attain an All-American honor in?

was this the ballot that the station in north dakota put together and we saw on another post? If so, the ballot was hilarious.
maybe the media was presented with something different but here is what the website had.
example summary of an out-state player:
Beau Hanowski, SR, Little Falls: Four-year player. Through 27 games, leads Little Falls and Section 6-1A with 44 goals and 46 assists for 90 total points. He has 14 power-play goals and four short-handed goals. Little Falls is 24-3 and ranked fourth in 1A and is playing in the fifth straight section final. Has helped Little Falls advance to the last three state tournaments. Hanowski has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at South Dakota State University next year.
example summary of a metro player:
Ryan Furne, SR, Hill-Murray
hmm? like i said maybe they saw something different but if not, how do you think the voting would end up? looks favored to the north/northwest and to the small schools.
barnes is a good second team choice but no forwards from Hill, benilde, tonka, HA, rosemount, no lee or everson, and a bunch of other good citiot schools.
I guess on an individual basis a lot of our best players are hidden in towns like park rapids (didn't know they had hockey), little falls, and mankato. I haven't seen a lot of those guys play but it seems to me like a lot of the voting was based on points.

Hard to argue with these lists....granted there are a few other players out there who are deserving as well, but most of these guys are commited already to a Div 1 school. Personally the only question mark out of the whole group i feel is Litchfield, but then again he had a good season.

The only other uncommited Players are Lehrke, Hanowski and Philippi

Lehrke will make his Div 1 commitment here in the wcha in next few weeks i am sure..

Hanowski is a great baseball player and is taking that route

And everyone saw just how good Philippi was this yr last wknd.....

Interesting that Matt Messina made Honorable Mention as a goalie from the Marshall School, Duluth and he didn't even get a start in the State Tournament for the Hilltoppers.

Making the State Tournament isn't and shouldn't be a requirement for being voted to the All-State team, I was just commenting that it's interesting that a team that did make the State Tournament and had an All-State Honorable Mention goalie didn't find it in the teams best interest to start him in any of their three games in the tournament. This is meant to take nothing away from Willie Paul (Paul Willie if you're Phil Housley) just find it interesting that the coaching staff of the Marshall School, Duluth chose to go the way they did with an All-State Honorable Mention goalie sitting on their bench even after he got the team to the tournament with the win in the Section 7A Championship Game.

Cold as ice-
What is your problem with Marshall and their players anyway? It's fine to dislike a team or program but you don't need to come on here and bash players and bash the Marshall program in every thread. It is just disrespectful and immature. If you are an adult (which I am pretty sure you are  ) then you really should be ashamed of yourself. I'm not sure how you could possibly have this much hate towards a bunch of kids. So in the future, just stay away from Marshall threads if all you are going to do is put down individual players and have a negative post for everything. Grow up.
