Well, the boys are on the road.
How does the weekend go?
I'll say a Gopher sweep.

I kinda hope they don't win it because I gave my quarterfinal tickets to my dad, but I can't cheer against the Gophs.

They sweep.

The Mavs are hot lately, and the Gophers are desperate.

Gophers win the series in 3 games.

In this one I'm going to predict the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities advances to the WCHA Final Five by taking two out of three from the Minnesota State-Mankato Mavericks. I'm expecting a lot of UMTC fans at the Alltel Center in Mankato.

Could easily be one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen. That being said, WOW is it fun to watch.

Unbelievable game. Mavs win on a short-handed goal late in the 2nd overtime.

I agree who would've ever thought we'd want NHL calls in a WCHA game. Coach must've really been in the linesmans ear to earn the too many men at the end of the game, but WOW was that fun. Hats off to both goalies.

That would be nice--course both teams could be dead on their feet tomorrow and that would definitely be understandable. WOW!

Kind of disappointed with the celebration on top of Kangas at the end, but what are you going to do.

I gotta say i was disappointed with the finish, but it was a great game to watch. What was with the celebration on Kangas? I've never seen that before, then the refs were keeping the gopher players from helping him out. Oh well, better luck tomorrow.

Wow
Can I change my pick? Mavs in 2!!!!
I can't get impressed w/ a Gopher squad that makes bad decisions on both ends of the rink... No finishers... No D to bring the puck up... No offensive playmakers...
Kangas played well, and I thought the Mavs were faster to the puck than the Gophs...
Hard to watch this Gopher squad, and they are by far my favorite team to watch throughout the season

WOW! WOW! WOW! This was the best game I have EVER been to (just ahead of last year's Final Five Championship).
This was also the loosest game I've ever seen, fewer whistles in FIVE periods than you usually see in three. And once it hit overtime, Shepherd didn't dare make a call. Good thing for the Mavericks, though, that one of the linesman had the balls to make that too many men on the ice call, otherwise the game might still be going.
I just hope that these guys have enough gas for a good one tomorrow...

by the way, how could there have only been 4200 people there if the game was sold out? There were 5000+ for the ND game.
