My thoughts are he will go, probably wants to get to SCSU as fast as he can to play with his old line mate Festler. He might play both start the year in the USHL then come back to LF and when there hockey season is done go back to the USHL.GopherPuckPlayer wrote:So whats the word on Ben H.? Will he stay or will he go?
One thing that might keep him at the High School level is that his dad is the high school baseball coach and he might want to play for him for a another year.
If you only knew the power of the dark side!
No.. i doubt bens thoughts are on Baseball... Hockey is his thing and Baseball was beau's.. And can they do that? go to the USHL before and then after the High School Season?ap4mvp wrote:My thoughts are he will go, probably wants to get to SCSU as fast as he can to play with his old line mate Festler. Yes they can do that, as long as they're not in school while they're playing in the USHL. That's the way I understand the rule..Marshall wrote:No.. i doubt bens thoughts are on Baseball... The U invented swagger.
6A next year
After an inexperienced season this year, look for DL to be back in the mix next year. Some very good young talent, led by Lane.

ya if losing 8 seniors is going to help and a good goalieflyingV wrote:After an inexperienced season this year, look for DL to be back in the mix next year. Some very good young talent, led by Lane.
sounds good to me
Note I said INEXPERIENCED this season.
DL graduated 8 seniors, but the big loss is the goalie. Also Bergquist and Magnusson would be a big loss, but their injuries kept them out of the season anyway.
Other than that this group of seniors, mainly due to the large and somewhat skilled senior class of the previous year, played JV until this year. The main contributors to this years team are all underclassman.
I said, look for DL back in the mix, I did not say they are going to dominate. Lane and company will compete well in 6A.

That could be an interesteing twist on the transfer rules. Under the new transfer rules, a player that transfers to a new school after entering ninth grade can not participate in Varsity athletics for one year at the new school, but CAN participate in varsity athletics at thier former school.darkdemon wrote:My opinion is that Ben will exit this year and return in the spring to play baseball and graduate from Little Falls. Sorry I just don't see him staying and I don't blame him. But I will miss watching him play.
So it may be possible for him to trnasfer out of state, then come back and still play varsity baseball for Little Falls. The only catch would be some type of double transfer penalty, which I haven't read any about that.
