Justin Dewitz , Cal Petersen, Bill Mork play in Bantam division

They all play for Fire.

I think kid listed for Maple grove is on fire and Wood for East team is a ?
Maybe a Fire Kid

Coach picks players maybe the coach didn't want any fire kids.

There are many 94 Fire kids playing in the Bantam Minors. As stated earlier Cal Peterson and Justin Dewitz on the South. Moro is not a Fire player, must be a typo in the program. On the West, Mostrom, Freburg, Franke, Herlofsky, Jancze, and Dickison. Super Series is the only tournament that will welcome these players. Hats off to the Super Series. These things should not involve politics, its about the kids.

Little does Selects know, they have a Fire player playing this week in the 94 division, Johnson was a Fire roster and went to Hill Murray half way though the season. Selects must only accept players that don't finish the season with the Fire.

I love how people assume without the facts. The major peewee level Fire kids are not allowed to be in this tournament by their coach. They leave early next week for nationals. I know 5 or 6 who were going to play but had to bow out when the team won a regionals last weekend. The amount of misinformation on this forum is plentiful. Woods is not playing, he just happens to be on the roster, which they prob submitted before the Fire won in regions to go to national.

It always seems when Fire teams are mentioned. People get upset. Why is that?

The player is named Travis Wood and they don't list him as a Fire Player, I assumed he was from the Fire. Sorry

Fire Players

Post by 54fighting »

The Superseries has no issues with Fire players. In fact the guy who runs the tournament had a boy skate with the Fire.
It is the MN Selects tournament up in St Cloud that is so petty that it will not allow any Fire kids to play.

Why don't these "select" tournaments truly be selective and have a tryout like the Advanced 15,16, etc.? Reputation does bring in some of the best but clearly there's plenty of "who you know stuff" going on.
I know there's players in both selects and super series that would NOT make it through a tryout.
The Elite Classic next weekend is the same thing. Also $200 for 4 games and 2 practices? Wow.

You are the idiot, 95 level wasn't the only level playing selects this weekend. What about the other levels, their not at nationals, but yet the Fire players weren't suppose to play in Selects, this comes directly from a 96 level coach whom I know. None of the 96 level Fire were there. Maybe you should check the facts.

cow bells,
guess you have to relook the topic. First this is about the super series. second, if you read what others wrote, 95's were going to be in the tourney and Fire kids did play at the Bantam level. so, to quote yourself, "YOU are the idiot, 96 level wasn't the only level playing this weekend.

BTW, you were the one who siad that the Fire kids weren't invited, not me. I was only speaking to what I know, unlike you.

To straighten out a few things;

-Fire kids are welcome at Super Series, prohibited from Selects.
-95 Fire kids were planning to play on several Major PW teams, but could not play because they are in nationals this week.

Overall nice tournament for all the kids who played. Only statement is I thought the Ref's were overly involved for this type of tournament.

A lot of petty calls in the games I watched (Major Mite, Minor PW & Mjr PW).

I haven't seen tournaments like this with so many penalties.

Still a very nice tournament.
