Im going to go out on a limb and say Apple Valley. They lose a lot of people but they have 3 of there 5 D coming back and 2 of there 3 leading scorers coming back and they have there goalie Aaron Gretz coming back who played 13 games as a freshman. I think they have a good chance at going to state

CDH- should be better
Woodbury- Should still be ok I think not as good but not bad
Rosemount- will take a hit from last years team
Eastview- Takes a big hit like Rosemount
Apple Valley- Losses few but returns key ones as well
Hastings- Don't know a thing about them next year really
Eagan- Maybe a little better

Early favorites: CDH, Apple Valley, Woodbury
Others: Eagan, Eastview

I wouldn't say there is really a true clear cut favorite as of now. The season hasn't even started!!

Look
eastview is going to be good next year they have a good first line with freidman and smith and whomever gets the other spot
Rosemount is going down hill but they got a couple guys
CDH is always going to be good with there players
Eagan i think is the surprise team they are lookin good i went to sout them against woodbury i wasn't impressed in the first peroid but they are returning alot of guys coming back i think they are going to be the team that is going to surprise everyone really i'm thinking a CDH vs Eagan/Eastview game i dont see rosemount doing anyhing or apple valley to me they got no one they are losing alot of guys and i dont see anybody coming up sry but gretz cant carry a team

Woodbury and the rest are fighting for 2nd.

CDH only has 1 line with Zimmerman the rest are average. JV isn't bringing up much.

Eagan will be the surprise.

Eastview Smith isn't as effective now that everyone has caught up in size.

Rosemount lost too much.

Apple Valley will be solid in nets buts you have to score and stay out of the box to win.

woodbury has 2 defenseman returning and 3 forwards. How are they going to be good, they graduated about 15 guys, and no goalie. CDH returns 13, and three of their top 5 scorers.

Perhaps because Woodbury had another good junior varsity team at 18-4-3 and because their coach knows how to prepare them to win games.

Because the 15 replacements will be better then the 13 returnees! Woodbury had a way better JV last year and is loaded at this age group. They will be at the top of 3AA for the next few years maybe longer. They will be strong until the school split. Goaltending will be the only weak spot.

A team full of jv kids isn't going to win. They only beat cretins JV by a goal at their place and only a handful of cdh jv kids will make it next year. Also woodbury had a overtime game and a close game at highland this year. With cdh losing barely anyone they will be the favorite.Cretins team this year was comprised of mostly jv kids from the year before that beat woodbury's jv and they just weren't mature enough this year. So once again a team full of jv kids can't win.

Im putting my money on the Henry Sibley Warriors

My prediction is that woodbury, with the loss of their whole team, will not perform as the previous team did...

Im a little worried about cretins defense besides Alt... for cretin to win they will need better line chemistry then they had last season...scoring was a big problem?...whos going to step up this year???

Eagan is always a sleeper and huge underdog, i havent really heard anything about their program for next season, any new players that will make an impact?

rosemount had their 15 minutes of fame and that was pretty much it... Brown and Percy were the only reason they accomplished anything...

eastview??? havent heard anything, talent is dropping from last years team however

but in all seriousness its a toss up between cretin and woodbury

Yes Woodbury did lose a lot of seniors. But look back at the team last year they had the same thing happen.

They have a large number of good players, this past season it was just the fact they didn't have room for 6 lines on varsity.

the same thing as last season? really? As i recall they had 7 returning forwards, 2 returning d and a returning goalie. Not even close to what its going to be like next year, with 3 forwards, 2 d and no goalie.

However, Woodbury did have another good junior varsity team this past season. That and Wes Bolin's coaching should help the team a lot.

They won't be as good as the 07-08 team, but, they should be towards the top of the conference and section seedings again.

Rumor has it, along with being a good coach, Mr. Bolin is a winer. Supposedly he wasn't happy with WBL having to move their game to play Duluth East on Hockey Day in Minnesota. I think his words were "Why do you get to play in that event and not us?"
