Crunch gain Defender Ali Lund ready to play

Grand Rapids - While the Minnesota Crunch were trying out in Grand Rapids this past weekend Director of Scouting Grant Clafton was out in Stevens Point Wisconsin at the Wisconsin Sr Classic. Clafton's efforts paid off as Sr Eau Claire Stars Sr Defender Ali Lund has committed to play for head coach Chris Marinucci and the Minnesota Crunch in thier inauguaral season in 2008. Lund is a 2 time captain for the Eau Claire Squad, 1st team all conference and first team all state. Clafton was informed late Tuesday afternoon that Lund would indeed be coming on board. Lund had 11 goals and 12 assists last year with 20 minutes in penaltiies. Said Clafton.she has great strength with the ability to see the game and make the right choices. She's definitly one of the top Defenders in her state.
