I see 3 out of the 12 senior/postgrad Thoroughbreds have signed to play D1 - is this about the normal number from the Thoroughbreds 2-3 D1 players - does anyone know?

keepitreal summed it up pretty well i think, the average number of players going d1 each year is about 5-6, with another 5-6 depending on the graduating size going d3.

I believe there are 4 players from this past season that have committed to a d1 school, 3 committed d3, and the others have not decided where they would like to committ.

Regaring keepitreal's comments on the gap slimming down between the thoroughbreds and the highschool league, yes i would agree with that, the highschool league is getting stronger every year, but at the same time i believe playing for the thoroughbreds gives players a much better chance to get noticed by college coaches around the country.
There are now 5 so right on average - Williams of Eagan is going to Bemidji.

Also, I do now there are more committed out there but not on the list. I have added the ones I have heard but not confirmed of in Italics

Has anyone heard of other D3 committs or confirmed any?

Last I heard Concordia had 11 girls committed for next year. I think that number has fallen to ten offically.

I am almost 100% sure Danielle Justice is going to Gustavus.

I know there are a ton of DIII committments not listed here.

The list is reliant on players who have reported their commitment. There are many players who have decided but are not listed. The process at D3 isn't at all as transparent as it is at D1, and many coaches choose not to disclose their recruits until their rosters are released in the fall.

I heard goalie Morgan Pieper from Warroad is also going to UW-Eau Claire

If that is true it sounds like UWEC is going to have a ton of goalies. They already have Brashun 07 grad from Irondale, and are getting Jondal from CDH this year.

The list appears to be something that anyone can go log their name to what ever school, commitment or not.

Ms. Justice has given a verbal committment and a financial committment to Gustavus; as has her teammate Kathryn DelZoppo.

Actually, I know it at least two cases, River Falls and St Anslem, that the Head Coach has put these in. I think it is more accurate than you think

Sorry, not what I think at all, anyone can post their name here. Never said it was not accurate either, may be exactly correct.

Two Way Play's additions concur with what I have heard around the rink. Thanks for the update and keep them coming.

Interesting list. Is Emma Shields-Nordness really playing at River Falls?
If I remember right she was a Phase 3 kid and went to Lake Placid. Are not those usually D1 kids? Great player. Good for UWRF if true.

Yes, Emma will attend River Falls. She did attend Phase 3 in 2006. River Falls has an excellent 08-09 recruting class
