ya I think i know a way. If you have a first place medal around somewhere just take that and wipe it on it, that should do the trick

I think maybe Blakes performace in reagions and state could have been better if they actually had a "decent" stereo...

you need to learn how to use spell check. keep quite, be humble, log off the Xbox and do your homework. then you can come on here and type away without worrying about any scuffed shoes or broken stereo equipment. it was not broken at the start of the year....hmmmmm.

Eagle, passport is valid. "thats" just about right. :!:

Blake Bantam B

Post by observer »

I understand the State championship team from Blake used a player that doesn't even attend Blake. How's that possible? Hopefully that's enough for MN Hockey to finally pull the plug on the only remaining private school Bantam team. I understand that District 1 has already pulled the plug on Minnehaha and St. Thomas and they won't be allowed to host Bantam B teams next year.

speaking of associations...

isn't wayzata only about 13,000 people with a small geographic boundry, yet it's the biggest assoc in the country...how does this happen? are the kids from plymouth considered recruits? no? plymouth and wayzata are different cities, in different locations right? must mean that logic was used to determine what was best for the kids. wow, what a thought.

since rosters are verified each game, of each tourney and since all rostered players meet/met the qualifications that MH set forth, you're worrying about something without cause. D3 and MH have waiver rules, and even goalie specific rules. let it go.

ninety5-You indicated earlier that there was not a tryout process, so how was the team chosen? I too heard that there was a player on Blake's team that did not attend the school, much like kids waiver from their home/school district-based associations into others. Blake is considered an association unto itself, with waivers, etc. like all other associations. So can any player waiver in to Blake? What if there are more players than space on the roster--how is the team chosen then?

for an association to waiver you out to play for a team such as blake, you would probably need connections to the school. such as going their or going their in the past. otherwise good luck with being waiverd

bladetape,
winning the state tourney with a nonstudent is problematic. Blake is not a typical 'association' and whether there was a waiver or not sets bad precedent as the team is presented as a service for students, yet they can be accused of 'loading up'. private schools can now fill out their rosters with nonstudents. looks like there is a home for Fire players if the Fire goes down!.

Conditioning

this is off topic of what we are talking about but...

conditioningsucks,

conditioning actually doesn't suck. conditioning is what wins you state championships.

Oh come on...you guys all know one player doesn't make a team a winner. It looks like this team was mostly second years who went out and won a State Championship! Sour grapes!!!
Can we talk about something worth while?

I say that teams who recruit should not be allowed to play at any level. Let their team come from raw talent. Not the whole state's talent.

bladetape, your comment is incorrect. I have heard from a blake contact that one of your forwards did not attend blake. My earlier comment was not to rip on blake, but to point out the loopholes for nonstudents to play for a school team. if blake is allowing one nonstudent skater in, why won't they let others tryout who are nonstudents? Why not just have AAA if we are going to let players be free agents when private schools decide they are good enough to waive in or want to stoke up their teams.

he played on the team last year and went to blake last year, his current school does not have a bantam team so he went and got waiverd so he would be able to play with wat he knows. check blakes directory you will find him in it

Lou Brown, managed the Toledo Mudhens for years. although he is uncertain about his future in hockey and has a guy on the other line about some white wall tires. He'll get back to you...

Reg Dunlop, man for man, best coach in the league.

Gordon Bombay, triple deke, enough said.

Am I missing anyone?

Yes . . .

Murray Chadwick . . . he went with the other guy, but he's sure you'll catch on somewhere. Until then, there's always tea with Miss McGill. You know what Gordie Howe got for a signing bonus? A team jacket!!

sources tell me that Chadwick is close to signing on with the big club, which is of course, outside of D6.

(word is, the big club was really impressed with his coaching of a young sniper/pugilist like Dean-O and will be offering a nice signing bonus)

just word on the street...

FYI...Ned Brayden has also earned his CEP card, since retiring form the Federal League, and will be taking a group to the show next season.
