Either GR or Roseau around 87-88. Those two teams met in the Pee Wee A finals, MAHA Bantam, VFW and MSHL. Both very, very good teams. Many of those players from both teams went on to play at the D1 level and professionally.

Moundsview 1972-73, I think with McClanahan. National Champions.

Jefferson 89 - 90

Hands down...

Lost one game all year......went on to win 3 consecutive State High School Tournaments...

Crowly, Checko, LaFluer, Pankratz....

Speaking of that team, what ever happened to Matt Jones?

I'd agree. I remember seeing them practice one day and asked their coach (Trebil) which high school team this was. I was dumbfounded to find out they were Bantams

That Jefferson team was very good, hard to find a better team than them. They were matched up with a very good Moorhead team in that time frame (Jason Blake, Ryan Kraft, Matt Cullen, all NHL) 7 or 8 players that went on to play D1 college hockey. Moorhead could never get past Jefferson though.

Also, late 70's Roseau, Broten brothers, Butzy Erickson, very strong team.

That must have been a heck of a commute between Roseau bantam games and Gopher hockey games for Neal and Butsy. Did they win the state tourney the same year the gophs won the NCAA's in '78-79 season?

Just poking fun.
