Good to see Allie Bondy playing somewhere next year. I heard that earlier today. Good for her.

TWP, a minor correction. There are actually two Concordia's-- Concordia College (Minnesota) and Concordia University (Wisconsin). According to Beyond the Dashers, two players listed for CC (Issackson & Hunter) are actually CUW. Not sure about the others.

Thanks for maintaining "the list".

Between D1 and D3, there are nearly 100 high school seniors from Minnesota teams intending to play women's college hockey, and probably a good number more we don't yet know about. Congratulations and good luck to the players!

All of the other Concordia College girls are correct. Also, Sarah Haulseth can be added to the Concordia College list. She has been out of High School for two years.

Sarah is from Moorhead. I should correct my spelling also, Halseth appears to be correct.

It looks like Concordia College (Moorhead) is really adding a strong class this year? I have seen a few of those girls play and they are very very good players. I wonder if they are going to make a run for the MIAC title this year? That is as good a class as I have seen so far I think. It is also good to see Concordia sticking close to home, and giving our MN girls a chance to play in College. For a while they seemed to recruit everywhere but MN, and now they are working hard close to home, which is great! Maybe the change in coaching 2 years ago was the change? It appears they are well coached, and clearly are working hard in recruiting. Does anyone know those guys up there, and how they are as coaches? A 3rd place finish in the MIAC this year was a step in the right direction for sure. Someone mentioned Sara Halseth, where is she from, what does she play, and is she going to make an impact for them? I also heard that Emily Sell is going to be going to Concordia also, she is a D1 transfer from North Dakota, does anyone know much about her? All of this is going to make them tough for us to play against next year I think. I would be curious to hear what everyone thinks of this and any other MIAC schools for this fall?

On a side note looking at this forum, it appears that Gustavous has also picked up a very good class. Which is not surprising, because they seem to always have very talented teams, but Delzoppo, Schaff, and Schwab seem to be very strong players that will help Gustavous continue to be successful. River falls also appears to have a strong recruiting class coming in. I guess in looking at all of this there is just a lot of great players entering DIII this year. I would like to hear anyone's thoughts on the rest of the MIAC or any of the NCHA teams.

Gustavus continues to be the powerhouse of the MIAC and among the best in DIII nationally (despite getting upset by UW-Superior in the NCAA regional) so it attracts good players by reputation alone. Many athletes select GAC for its stellar academics. St. Thomas is also an excellent academic school with a very good women's hockey program; I'm sure we'll see some additional names on their list, as well as some of the other MIAC schools as the year approaches. Concordia (MN) made positive strides this year; we'll see if they can close the gap and challenge the top two.

Nice list of GAC recruits with the standouts you mentioned. Anyone know if Mollie Carroll is related to the coach? With the Carroll connection, GAC always lands some of the best high school goalie talent and this year is no different. Agree UWRF has a strong recruiting class, Shields-Nordness, Foley and Calder are nice players. UWRF lost the conference championship in OT to the Cinderella national DIII 4th place finisher UW-Superior and figures to be a strong team again.

I thought the girl's name was Stacey Sell from UND, but maybe it is Emily. Either way, she is planning on attending Concordia. Concordia has a good group that will be seniors next year and they also are bringing in a very good class, they should only improve on a close semi-final loss @ St. Thomas last year. Gustavus continues to have the class of the MIAC recruiting class. Their biggest pickups are between the pipes. That is probably the one thing this team lacked next year. Maybe it will be a Concordia-Gustavus MIAC final?

UND's roster identifed Emily Sell.

A 2007 graduate of Williston High School • Lettered five times in hockey at Williston where her head coach was former Sioux defenseman Mikaela Rehak (formerly Tofte) • Was a five-time all-state and all-conference selection • Named the 2007 North Dakota Girls Hockey Senior Athlete of the Year after leading the state in scoring with 55 goals and 46 assists for 101 points • Graduated as the state’s all-time leading scorer with 409 points • Notched 258 goals and 151 assists in her prep career • Led her team to a fourth-place finish at 2007 state tournament • Also lettered five times in tennis and was an all-conference selection each year • Earned four all-state honors in tennis and won a state doubles championship • Helped her team to three region titles • Also lettered once in golf • Member of the National Honor Society.

UND's cumulative stats indicated she played 34 games the past season. Nice addition to Concordia wonder if she will play both hockey and tennis?

Just for keeping track purposes (Concordia College Version):

Sarah Halseth is a forward.

Emily Sell should be added to the list (via UND).

Rachel Stevenson from Buffalo plans to attend Concordia College.

Can you give me Emily and Rachel's position and what is Emily's home town and grad class?

Absolutely.

Emily is a forward from Williston, ND (so I guess it is up to you whether or not it goes in the MN forums)

Rachel is a forward, I believe. I am verifying that right now, but I am about 99% sure.

Sell is a forward according to UND website. Watched UND a couple times but don't remember any specific details about her performance.

Is this class for Concordia going to make a impact for them? How about the rest of the MIAC who do you think is going to have the best class in that conference? How does everyone see the league finishing this year? Here are my picks

Gustavous
Concordia
St. Thomas
St. Olaf
Bethel
Hamline
St. Marys
St. Bens
St. Kates
Augsburg

I realize this is extremely early and who really knows, but it's still fun to play with the picks.

Are you making predictions based on recruiting class? past performance? current rosters? can you elaborate on your prediction?
