And then I read here that his Blades team got smoked by the Machine in their recent game. What a waste of time for the kid.

Since they lost it was a waste of time? Maybe he doesnt care about your winning is everything baseball team. 3rd place, sounds like your as good as the Blades team.

I am a 95 Blades guy, that's why I asked. Here is the real information.

The 95 Blades tournament season ended on May 18 at the Prospects in Toronto. They have not had a team practice since then, only skill development sessions with coach Scott Steffen. These have been optional. Average attendance is around ten players, because many players have been going to baseball, soccer and lacrosse. Several players missed hockey all of last weekend because of baseball tournaments. If a 95 Blades player skipped a baseball game for hockey last weekend, it was that family's decision. In fact, four of our kids missed parts of the Machine scrimmage because they were at baseball before the scrimmage. Three more came to the rink directly from other sports. FYI-two kids missed practice Thursday night because of Friday final exams.

At some age, kids who want to play at higher levels will dedicate themselves only to hockey. The Blades believe that well-rounded youth athletes make better hockey players when it matters. This has worked for them so far and I doubt they will be changing that philosophy.

How did the 95 Blades do in Toronto? When does their season start again?

Top four teams in 99's:

1) Blades
2) Machine
3) Snipers
4) Deuce

98 Machine rolled over the Lake Superior Stars to win it.
I saw the 99 MN Edge play the Deuce and pound the them 7-2. The Deuce had 1 shot on goal in the first period. I do not think the Edge are at the level of the Blades or the Machine yet, but I would bet there one of the top 3 99 teams around.
How come the 99 Edge didn't play in Independent classic tourney? It sounds like they'd give the Snipers a good game. Like some one mentioned. The kids are young and a lot will change in the next few years.
What other 99 teams are highly rated?
