It's one of those rare occasions where I'll pick the field. I have a hunch that Tiger's knee is going to come into play somehow.

I'll take Adam Scott.

I'm not a big follower of golf, but just to give you someone to pick on I'll take a shot and say Justin Leonard.
Just a wild guess of course, unless he wins it.. then I'll say I knew it all along

In the Belmont Stakes I had a bet with the Mrs.
I had Big Brown, She had the field.
I lost.
Have I learned a lesson?

Nah I'll take Tiger :)

Tiger is great but I don't think anybody can have a long layoff and then win the US Open. The Open requires precision. Long layoffs and precision usually dont go hand in hand.

But who knows? Maybe he has been hitting balls for 4 weeks and is sharp as a razor.

I think the winner will be: VJ Sing

I'm going to go out on a limb here...

Sergio gets his first real major this weekend, much to the dismay of most golf fans.

Did anyone see Phil's shot out of the rough about an hour ago?

It looked like me golfing.

He hit it about four feet.

I only got to watch for a few minutes yesterday, but what i saw was entertaining anyway. Saw a couple guys swing right under the ball, not touching, nor advancing their ball at all, saw another sandtrap, over the green, in the other sandtrap shot. Heck, makes me feel better when i see these guys doing it too.

It does.

Most of the time we see them on Sat and Sun and the guys we are seeing are the guys who are playing well and the leaders when they are at their best.

But when you watch everybody, you see guys doing the same stuff we do .....but never as often.

I've been told that former GR Indian and pro golfer Mike Christianson is caddying for one of the leaders, not sure which one, but one of the two that was tied at -3. Probably the guy from Duke. Not a bad way to spend a week.
