Jake Gardiner chosen 17th overall

Two other northerners high on central scouting I remember were Drew LeBlanc (hermantown) and Keegan Flaherty (east), what happened with them? Did either get drafted? Thanks.

Could we see gardiner and pryor on the same line in the future with anaheim ?

If I'm reading this correctly you're saying you think that Lee and Everson could also go in the first round next year, along with Schroeder. There really is no chance of that happening. Schroeder is the #11 North American prospect for next year's draft. The next highest ranked prospect from MN is Zack Budish of Edina at #27, and following him is Ryan Walters of St. Thomas Academy at #48. While Everson and Lee are both excellent hockey players, they will probably be drafted in rounds 3-5 next year. Budish is the top prospect in Edina because of his combination of size (6'2", 210 lbs.) and skill.

OK, I'm a nerd, so I went thru and pulled out some numbers.
First, great job Minnesota...the state had by far the most straight-from-high school players selected in the draft. After you add in the Shattuck players, it's even more impressive(and that's not even counting the kids from the state who play for other teams).

Here's how it shakes out...apologies if I missed any schools.

Not Minnesota, but still a fine state...

And to keep things in perspective, 108 high schoolers were drafted from Major Jr. Hockey.

I meant that Lee and Everson would be eligible for next years draft ............ if I am correct in my assertion.

I would doubt either would be drafted in the first round.
