If I'm reading this correctly you're saying you think that Lee and Everson could also go in the first round next year, along with Schroeder. There really is no chance of that happening. Schroeder is the #11 North American prospect for next year's draft. The next highest ranked prospect from MN is Zack Budish of Edina at #27, and following him is Ryan Walters of St. Thomas Academy at #48. While Everson and Lee are both excellent hockey players, they will probably be drafted in rounds 3-5 next year. Budish is the top prospect in Edina because of his combination of size (6'2", 210 lbs.) and skill.breakout wrote:sachishi4 wrote:lee and everson were eligible this year and if they didnt get drafted now I wouldnt hold my breath for next year considering how well they played this year.
Schroeder is a 90 and will go in next years draft (I believe). Frankly, Schroeder could go early in the first round from what I hear. I think Lee and Everson fall in Schroeder's category. Maybe I am wrong.

And to keep things in perspective, 108 high schoolers were drafted from Major Jr. Hockey.Lily Braden wrote:OK, I'm a nerd, so I went thru and pulled out some numbers.HasNoMoves wrote:Was just glancing over the total draft list and its clear that Minnesota has more high school players that were drafted this year that all other states combined I am guessing....I coudl be wrong, but didn't want to sit and count all the different players from different states. At any rate, we should be very proud of Minnesota High School Hockey.
First, great job Minnesota...the state had by far the most straight-from-high school players selected in the draft. After you add in the Shattuck players, it's even more impressive(and that's not even counting the kids from the state who play for other teams).
Here's how it shakes out...apologies if I missed any schools.
Minnetonka...1
Edina....2
Roseau...1
Eastview...1
Cloquet...1
Brainerd...1
Shattuck...3
Not Minnesota, but still a fine state...
Wassau, Wisconsin....1
Private Boarding Schools Not Named Shattuck...
Kent School, CT...1
Northwood School, NY...1
Avon Old Farms, CT...1
Choate-Rosemary...1
I meant that Lee and Everson would be eligible for next years draft ............ if I am correct in my assertion.komada77 wrote:If I'm reading this correctly you're saying you think that Lee and Everson could also go in the first round next year, along with Schroeder.
