Not only should threads be fair and balanced (see "the Factor") but so should batting order production.

Punto and Harris with two-out RBI's to end the drought.

I like the optimism Champ but all these teams you speak of are still major league teams. Hungry AAA players often have more fight than those fat cat triple figuring earning veterans come late August.

The road to the playoffs is the road of late Aug. through Sept.

This team needs a setup man.

Span needs to stay but what do they do with him?

Platoon with Delmon Young some?

Cuddyer DH some?

They blew out Neshek's arm counting pitches of the starters. Now they need a guy to come in and pitch the 8th inning to get to Nathan.

Looks like Gardenhire wants Span to stick around... why wouldn't he?

Farther down on that page is also talk that he Twins may be interested in Adrian Beltre? I'll believe it when I see it, but if they make any move before the deadline (which I don't believe they will), it would be for a right handed bat with some pop... and this one coincidentally plays the plays the left side of the infield, so that doesn't hurt either. They're pretty well established everywhere else.

Beltre/Buscher makes more sense than Lamb/Buscher. Send him baaaaaack out to pasture.

Nice start so far but for this team everything is irrelevant until the set up men get involved after the 6th.

We'll shall see.

Is the writing on the wall for Bonser yet? He's proven once again that he's not a MLB pitcher who can get anyone out. As for Bass? As soon as they put him in a key position, he fell apart. Bonser is garbage - period! Bass is a mop up guy who should not get to pitch in any important spots. Now's not the time to fall apart experimenting with who's the set up guy. Clearly, neither guy can handle the role. Time to bring up Lirianon, say goodbye to Boof, and have Bass pitch in blowouts either way.

Well wasn't THAT special...

The boys need to regroup in Detroit, and get some momentum heading into the break.

Now boys, thats why they play 162.

A few weeks ago they left Chicago with their tails between their legs ,blown out of 4 games and we had them buried.

They bounced back and got hot and we had them going to the world series and all of their pitchers were going to win the Cy Young

Now, Bonser and Bass should be demoted to Little League and Livantana traded for some pine tar.

They play 162.

Thankfully, only a few are against Boston.

Twins turning the tables on a team for a change... scoring 2 in the 9th off of Todd Jones and tying it up.

Morneau 4 for 4 so far today and up to a .322 average. If he isn't careful, he's going to work his way into some MVP conversations again.

Span is also 4 for 4. It's time to put that guy at the top of the order, and take some heat off of CarGo by having him bat 9th.

Scratch that... He's 5-5 with a HR and a walk - he's been on all 6 ABs.

This guy has to be one of the best all around hitters the Twins have ever had.

Has Nathan pitched yet?
